This is only my second visit to this restaurant and both times the food has been very good. The visit last week was to bring my friend and surprise her with two of her nieces to celebrate her birthday because she loves your restaurant so much. However, when we were all done, one of her nieces offered to take my payment up and I gave her my credit card to pay. The man at the register looked at it and he said “oh you had a reservation for eight and didn’t cancel it for 11 o’clock.” She told him she was paying with my card and he said I had a reservation for eight and didn’t cancel it. My friend said yes I did call the night before to cancel it, and he said “no, no one canceled it”. And that the table was held until 11:30 and then he finally gave the table up. I was a little bit astonished that he would say something like that to this young lady seeing as how he knew she wasn’t the person that made the reservation. As we were leaving, though, I felt like I had to say something to this man. I don’t like to be treated like this and so I wanted him to understand that I did cancel the reservation and I was appalled that he would continue to say I didn’t cancel it. He said “well it still says here on the computer and it says on this paper, that’s two places, and it wasn’t canceled”. I said “sir is that my fault that whoever answered the phone didn’t do what they were supposed to do?” He never apologized so I’m not sure I will ever go back because I don’t like the way he acted and I felt he was very rude! The $120.00 I spent evidently meant nothing to him. I’ll think long and hard before I’ll...

I'm sorry to say I wasn't a fan. I found the menu to be either wildly expensive steak/beef or burgers, with nothing in between. I ended up getting chicken livers which were supposed to be hand breaded but the coating was so harsh it cut up the inside of my mouth. They were also overcooked. I would have liked to see a nice chicken breast or thigh meal on the menu with some vegetables, even though the broccoli was considered a premium veggie so was for an addt'l fee. Otherwise it was fried foods like onion rings or French fries, etc. I ended up getting the mashed potatoes with gravy and even that felt/tasted like they came from a box and/or can. Other than the sparse salads, there wasn't really what I might call a healthy meal on the menu. Oh, and the loss of a point for serving packaged salad dressings. Those are never as good as handmade. The staff was really nice and attentive, though. The ambiance in the place is lovely, too. Not too bright, not too dark. Quiet so you can hear yourself think and talk. I really wanted to like the place, the food choices were such a let down. The food just seemed like it was all mass produced, out of cans, and ordered from a factory. While I'm not a chef by any stretch of the imagination, I can cook. Something like mashed potatoes is easily made by hand and don't even need to be peeled if you use the right potatoes. I would have even enjoyed seeing petite potatoes with...

2.5 stars. Our first time here and last. People were very nice and restaurant was clean and smelled nice. However, it was very packed. A older couple told us it was the best place in town going in to eat so I am assuming they are loyalty customers. We ordered alot to taste everything we could on our first trip. Steak was average no flavor, fries looked like kroger frozen crinkle fries, potato skins were very plain although there was sour cream to dip them, veggie burger was a frozen bocca burger (and we were told so and still ordered since it was the only vegetarian option) we had it cooked like a Swiss burger. I could've cooked it better to be honest. The bread roll they bring for free was pretty good. The fried mushrooms were amazing! We loved them alot. 4 stars for just the mushrooms. The highlight was the server, she was very nice but moved so fast we couldn't catch her. Given the price we give it 2.5. Just too loud, busy, not kid friendly, cramped, bad parking, reservations required. Took 30 mins to wait and another 20 to park. So many restaurants in this town that are WAY better. We would only come back if we were craving fried mushrooms which is unlikely. Next time we will...

Started with mashed potatoes and gravy, mashed potatoes are smooth, rich, and creamy. The gravy reminded me of KFCs gravy take that how you will. The mac and cheese was decent and had no real seasonings added salt and pepper due to that being the only seasonings I had access to. Next, the French onion soup (please keep in mind they said they didn't have none and possibly went out of their way to make it but was specifiedwe could wait) the onnions was under cooked and chopped a lot larger than normally served there was no croutons put in the soup the broth had flavor but lack a little love in my opinion it tasted like. Knock of it wasn't rich in taste or bold. Finally, the end the steak, I'm super big on steak, for what it was, it had really good flavor and was cooked perfect to how I asked. The atmosphere is a more mature crowd, not a lot of younger customers but none the less it was a balanced vibe. Sever was nice and was very tentative. Overall, price was quite good, in my opinion, $34.89 for all the food, and a drink isnt too bad in today's inflated market.

We went for the prime rib offered after 4 PM Friday and Saturday and I was not disappointed! I had the king cut as seen in the photo and it was cooked right and delicious. My date had the grilled chicken which I found alright. The banana Cream pie was excellent! The tossed salad was fresh but a slight down grade for using Marzetti packages blue cheese dressing instead of making a superior one in house. A plus that they had both ground horseradish and a sauce for the prime rib! We arrived right at 4, parked near the entrance and were seated immediately and service was prompt and excellent. When we were leaving (5ish) the place was full with people waiting and the parking lot packed. They warn us that when the prime rib is gone for the evening it’s gone so go early. It’s wonderful to find a restaurant still offering this special cut of meat, properly prepared! I’ll be back! The property is clean and comfortable but no pompous frills or excesses. The tables are close together but still adequate spaced.

Traveling thru southern Ohio and got a recommendation from a local for dinner on a Thursday evening. Tried The Willow in Washington Court House and it did NOT disappoint. The specials were fried chicken dinner or baked steak. We got one of each and OH MY GOODNESS! Soooooo good. The chicken breading was light and crunchy and very tasty and the baked steak melted in your mouth. Came with mashed potatoes, gravy, vegetables and homemade rolls. Their specialty seems to be their homemade desserts, so of course we had to try them. The coconut cream pie with 3 inches of meringue was out of this world! No shortage of staff. Everyone was efficient and super friendly. The town was doing their trick or treating and the Willow was even handing out candy to the littles. Highly recommend for a great home-cooked meal and fantastic dessert. Oh and the sweet tea is brewed and perfect! Two dinners, two drinks and two desserts - $35. Can’t beat that!
