Golden China Restaurant — Restaurant in Oklahoma City

Let me start by saying this- I am an extremely picky pregnant person lol. I've been having a hard time finding anything lately that sounds remotely close to edible- but I decided to give this restaurant a try after reading the reviews on Google maps.

I got the sweet and sour chicken entree with fried rice, and 4 chicken egg rolls for $17. This was the perfect amount to share with my fiance, and then save some for leftovers.

The portions were HUGE. You're definitely gonna get your money's worth here. I received an entire container of chicken, a massive tub of sweet and sour (more than I could possibly use lol!) and the rice was PACKED into a lil takeout box. The only thing I will say is that the egg rolls were a tiny bit smaller than you would usually see, but what they lacked in size, they made up for in flavor.

Everything was served HOT, and tasted great! I have to say, I've never had an egg roll that tasted this way, but I was very pleasantly surprised. It had more flavor than your typical egg roll, and I'm glad I ordered as many as I did.

Finally, the service was phenomenal. I was greeted by a very nice lady, and the staff was very attentive while taking our order. We were outside near the taco place next door, and the lady who greeted us even took our order out for us, going the extra mile. I was very surprised at this place. When we first drove up I thought it was another small town Chinese food boring place. There's really nothing on the outside or the inside to impress you. Very typical. We did make our orders. After our orders were made a man appeared in the back and began to make our food almost right in front of us. Everything tasted very fresh. As you can see from the photos there was plenty of it. We could have split this and took the rest of it home. We did spend on average about $13 each. One thing I can say that I did not care for is that they charged you for bottled water instead of water from the tap. That's your preference. Overall I can tell you that I would not mind going back to this place for some good Chinese food nothing crazy nothing fancy but just good fresh food...

After dropping off my daughter at a near by physical therapy office I decided to find something to do. I found FOOD. I came into Golden China a figured I would order some Egg Drop Soup. One little note they only accept cash on orders under $10. I didn't have cash but I dug around my purse and found exactly enough. I was hoping it was worth the effort and it was. The soup is fabulous. Very smooth and favor full. Well worth the money. The service was wonderful. The cashier was very nice and wanted to help me with my change issue (lol). It is very clean and cozy. If you are looking for good food at a good price with nice staff and a clean friendly environment then this is the place.
