Gorditas Mexican Kitchen — Restaurant in Oklahoma City

A must visit in Oklahoma!!! Absolute perfection! I've tried tons of Mexican restaurants in, Lawton, OKC, Tulsa and it's surrounding cities this is by far the best place to get Mexican food in the State of Oklahoma! Barbacoa is clean and not at all greasy, chicharron isn't slimey and sweet like most places and the flavor is unsurpassed. Roja is my favorite the chile itself used in the stew is subtle yet packs such robust flavor when paired with their beef that is so tender it slips threw a fork's prongs it's pure nirvana in every bite. The Verde is not in a green chili sauce which I don't really like but that's just my preference and it was delicious regardless. I would purchase their salsas by the gallon! Salsa roja tasted much like Chile de arbol so it is spicy with rich and bold hints of roasted peppers. Salsa Verde is smooth not as spicy and the acidity of the tomatio is not overwhelming but complimentary to the chile peppers used. It reminds me of home! This place USED to be good. I'm not sure if its because of the covid restrictions, but today's experience was the worst, definitely not coming back. When placing the order today, I was told the wait time was going to be 25 min. After waiting for an hour in the parking lot, I was finally able to get my food. Only to find out at home that the gorditas we're all broken and all the filling was falling out. It looked like it wasn't packed with any care for the customer. Once again LAST TIME I EVER...

Would not recommend the menudo. It was awful. It’s like they boiled the menudo that was tough-should be soft. And they added the Chile later instead of boiling it with the menudo-so it had NO flavor!!! Felt like you were sipping water. Yuck! We even tried adding Chile and cilantro with onions and it wouldn’t take-if you don’t know how to make menudo-don’t make it! Sick to the gorditas and even then those at times aren’t great! Pay attention to what your cooking when I told her it was awful, NO sorry no okay well can we get you something else and not charge you for the menudo. No NADA! So we were charged $38-for bad food. I use to like it there, but now y’all just getting sloppy and not a care in the world! I’m out! I wouldn’t even give a 1 star! El menudo no se los recomendó, sabía horrible. Cuando cosieron el menudo-Que lo dejaron duro como quiera- no cosieron el chile Con el menudo que así no aggaro sabor. Le tratamos de echarle chile, cilantro y más cebolla para que aggarar sabor pero ni así. Todo cosinero saber que para Que agare sabor necessita que coser todo junto. Sabía como si estaba comiendo agua con panza dura. Ni un desculpa ni ofrecimiento de que si quieriamos otra cosas. NADA, cuando fui a pagar Les dije, y ni así nada de disculpas.
