Bonsuir🤣🤩♥️ True story, this place would have you feeling like you are in France. So much so we spoke all the French we knew while waiting on our meal and when it came, touché. Infact, neither my friend nor I have been but now we want to go so bad😆 This is the freshest omelettes, strawberries, blueberries and toasts I have ever had. The service is just worldstar. Feels like you are been served by a friend who had invited you to their restaurant. Yeees, thats the feeling💯 So while waiting to get a table(it took about 30 minutes before we got one and it was worth the wait)you can go around the Bakery, check out their wine collections. Or peppers and spices. Infact, some were so well packaged they could pass for a face cream🤣🤩🥰😍😘Oh how I love it here. Friend had The Monsieur Croix, I had French toasts with extra sides. For drinks Bloody Mary and my friend, 'Wake Up' which was my favorite. They also have specials, they would tell you about if you want to go that route but we came with our minds made up on what we wanted and we weren't disappointed. Next time, we are definitely going for their specials for the day. On our way out, we got some Truffles(Caramel Machiano and keylime pie) Chocolate mousse cake and Bread pudding. Next time, I am getting their 'Gellatooo'. This place is always packed and understandably so. We went at brunch hours on Sunday before the church rush😆 WE WILL BE BACK MON AMI🤣🤩🥰😍😘You are stuck with us now🌷🤸‍♀️🤣♥️ The best $65 ever spent👌

We arrived and we're seated right away for a late breakfast. We were immediately attended by the waitress and given our menus. We ordered our food and it arrived promptly. My wife had the crepes with lemon custard and a caramel macchiato latte. I had the bacon and egg souffle which was tasty and well made. I had their house coffee which was an excellent variety. Strong but not bitter. I would definitely recommend it. I cannot say enough about the wait staff. Everyone was polite and prompt. The place is easy to find right off of May Street north of 63rd on the east side of the street. Parking is easy and convenient. The attached shop has a wide variety of wines from France and surrounding areas. One of the most extensive collections I've seen in a long time. Along with an extensive selections of cheeses from France. Truffled honey French butter, assorted pastries of a wide variety, and cakes. The tiramisu that we purchased was delicious. They open at 9:00 a.m. with an extensive breakfast menu, lunch menu, and early dinner menu. I will definitely be back with my wife, a unique dining experience in the heart of the Midwest.

La Baguette Bistro delivered a brunch worth remembering. I had an omelet absolutely loaded with flavorful sausage, sautéed onions, and melty provolone—every bite hit the spot. But the real surprise? The French toast. Golden, perfectly cooked, and topped with a homemade whipped cream so good it gave my mom’s a run for its money (sorry, Mom). The strawberries? Fresh, sliced, and plentiful—none of that “garnish only” nonsense. If you’re looking for a brunch that actually lives up to the hype, this is it. I just wanted to take a moment to say—the beautiful lady working this Sunday at La Baguette Bistro/Boucherie Meat and Grocery was absolutely breathtaking. She carries a rare blend of class and elegance that truly stands out—like something out of a golden-era film. Honestly, the women of the 1940s could’ve taken notes from her. I’m sorry I didn’t catch your name, but thank you for the kind conversation and the helpful hair tips for my granddaughter. Just wanted to send some appreciation your way—you made my day brighter.

We decided on La Baguette to celebrate Mother’s Day last night. Our reservation was at 7:45p. Wait staff was attentive and friendly. The wine was excellent and the Pecan Crusted Baked Brie was amazing. Wait staff apologized for the delay on our entrees, but our daughter’s entree was ready, so they brought hers out at our request. Her ravioli dish was tasty. I ordered the Red Snapper on special and my spouse ordered the Bernaise Filet, cooked medium. Our entrees came out at 9:10p. Our salads were forgotten, so we had to remind them. They were brought out after our long awaited entrees. My fish was dry and overcooked on the edges, unable to cut through the edges, and my entire dish was barely luke-warm. My spouse’s steak looked cooked on the outside, but was shiny and completely raw on the inside, as if it was frozen prior to cooking and they started cooking it before it was completely thawed. His sides were barely warm, as well. We don’t normally complain, or return food, but we had them take our entrees back. As it was approaching 10p, we alerted the wait staff to bring our check and forgo bringing our entrees back out. We were not charged for our entrees. Stopped by the bakery for some dessert on our way out, which that never disappoints. Not sure what happened with our meal last night, but it was very disappointing and not what we have ever experienced there before. Odd side note, they ran out of ice in the kitchen. Gave a 2 star rating due to poorly executed 2 out of 3 entrees, the nearly hour and a half wait for them, forgetting our salads and bringing them out following our entrees, and the manager saying very little in response and giving no incentive to return. With so many dining options these days, it’s hard to say if I will think about La Baguette as a first choice again, but the bakery is...

Food was decent, however service was terrible..... we sat at the bar, and waited almost 10 minutes to be greeted. When we finally were greeted it was by a server on the floor.... he kindly got our drink order (large carafe of mimosa, $21= 6 glasses.... only to overhear later they had $2 mimosa brunch special). When he tried to go make our order, the bartender audibly started yelling at him and sent him away. We waited 5 more minutes before she comes over and rudely asked "did he check your IDs yet?" then continued to make a production of checking our IDs against my face, against the light, without so much as a thank you. ...... I don't mind being ID'd but I'm 30 years old, obviously over 21. Then another guest sat at the bar by her well and she started friendly chatter with this woman while she made her drink and we continued waiting another 7-8 minutes for ours. We finally get our carafe and this girl READS the specials off of a piece of paper while leaning on the bar with her elbows, but we finally get to order. Then another couple of apparent regulars sits next to us, apparently in another bartenders section(at which point I hear about the $2 special); prompt service, and bread ensues. Our bartender goes over and is smiling and chatting with them, only to realize these guests have bread and we STILL do not. She graciously sends us out ice cold bread..... when our food finally came out it was decent, but anticlimactic and sloppy portion presentation. She stopped by and said "what do you guys need?" Then we didn't see her again. I work in a fine dining establishment, and I would be out of a job if I gave the level of service I received today. Terrible, terrible, TERRIBLE service..... my first time in and it will...

we visited La Baguette Bistro Saturday night 3/26/2022 and we got seated in a decent time but when was seated we was first greeted by the lady who brought us water then who we thought was a bar tender and took our drink orders after awhile we finally called him back over and asked him if we could put a order in with since we haven’t got a waiter so he only put our order in not once did they come by and check on us… awhile go by people around us still haven’t gotten food and have been there way longer than us was starting to get upset one table(of 4) also went thru 2 wine bottles before they even got food finally they decided to just pay and leave still without receiving food. When we finally received our food it was brought to us by someone completely different not once while we was eating had anyone went by to check on us ( expect for the lady topping off our water which she did the best of everyone there ) had someone check on us they would’ve known that I didn’t enjoy my meal an actually didn’t eat it. So we left.. on our way out I stoped to use the restroom on my way out to meet with my partner the bar tender ( that not once acted as if he was out waiter ) found my partner to tell him he was rude for not leaving HIM a tip .. but all he literally did was put in a order because no one was helping us. If anyone was to be tipped it would’ve been first the lady topping our water and chefs for making the food. So for the waiter to approach him in those manners so aggressively and unprofessional is just...
