Disappointing Experience – Not Worth the Wait or Price

We visited this restaurant expecting food and service that would justify the high prices and long wait time, but unfortunately, it fell far below expectations.

To start, we waited in a cold waiting area while other customers who arrived after us were seated first. When we were finally shown to our table, no servers came to offer us drinks or take our order. It wasn’t until the owner intervened that our drink orders were taken. The owner was friendly, which initially gave us hope that things would improve, but sadly, we were mistaken.

We waited 40 minutes for our food while watching other customers, who had been seated much later, receive theirs. When our food was finally brought out, it was mistakenly delivered to another table, where it sat in front of those customers for 3–5 minutes before the staff realized the error. Shockingly, they then took that same cold food and tried to serve it to us. My wife witnessed what happened and refused the food, asking for fresh dishes that hadn’t been sitting and exposed.

When the food finally arrived, the quality was below average—certainly not worth the high price. The poor service, questionable handling of food, and lack of professionalism left us feeling disrespected and disappointed.

To top it all off, the parking situation was a nightmare, adding unnecessary stress to an already bad experience.

We won’t be returning and cannot recommend this...

Que lindo lugar con guisados muy deliciosos. Los empleados son amables y muy atentos. Nos encantó tanto que regresamos el siguiente día para desayunar. Todo está increíble. Probamos las quesadillas de asada, el menudo( muy limpio ) torta de asada y gorditas de picadillo, nopales y huevos con chorizo. Las papas fritas están deliciosas! Son caseras nada de productos congelados. Las aguas frescas están riquísimas, frescas y no muy empalagosas.

What an amazing restaurant. Authentic, fresh and delicious foods. We had to come a second time because the first we so amazing we had to eat here again. Everything is so delicious, clean and well prepared. Fresh ingredients and excellent service. The staff is kind, friendly and polite. The owner was exceptional to us being our first time. When we visited a second time he recognized us and went above to greet us and welcome us again.

We tried the menudo which was exceptional delicious. Menudo often times is gross bc it isn’t cleaned well or seasoned enough. This is top notch and I typically am not a menudo fan but had an entire bowl with homemade fresh tortillas. The asada Torta is the best I’ve had in the US and Mexico along with fresh not frozen French fries. Tacos and quesadillas de asada are really good too. As soon as we stepped inside we knew we were at the right place. It smells fantastic as soon as you open the door. The place was very clean. Every employee was very welcoming. The waitress was super helpful and intimately familiar with everything they have to offer. I tried all four of their available tacos. Full of flavor and absolutely delicious. My wife had a chicken and the pork, nopales and red sauce burrito. The burrito was ridiculously delicious. The manager stopped by our table to make sure everything was satisfactory. When we were done eating, the waitress made sure to ask how everything was. She was also proud to explain to us everything was scratch made in-house.
