$50.00 dinner for one. I ordered vegetable samosa, but it came salted and with a powder like cumin and coriander on it which was odd and unnecessary. The chutney came in plastic containers with lids on, in a restaurant with table cloths and tableside wait staff... and real plates. I ordered ,Rogan Josh/Lamb, and Sag Paneer which came with two pots of Basmati rice. Naan was extra. I was served a cold cup of vermicelli noodles in a cream sauce usually served over basmati rice, which might have raisins, coconut or other fruit such as mango which is a dessert I had not had before. This dessert was complimentary. And tasted off sugar and cardamom and nuts. I tasted but did not eat it, it was bitter and I could not tell why this was prepared like this, though this is a real recipe. My dishes were very thick with spices, and many bites the spices were not incorporated into the sauce and were hard or very pure and spice hot. The SAG Paneer had some completely melted cheese and then a lump of refrigerator cold cheese 6 squares. The bread was not hot out of the oven. There were no extra napkins and no condiments on the table. I had a couple of pieces of lamb which were all fat and gristle and one where the meat truly tasted spoiled. The food was generally good, but there seemed to be few options to get variety of you were not dining with a party or getting catering to go, and so my bill was high and I did not want the two listed typical plate lunch specials, whose time to order had expired. My total bill was almost $50, eating as one person alone, on order to have variety as a plate. Tables (multiple)were stacked with dirty dishes. The TV had on pop music videos or ads for movies and was flashing and loud, but not just one movie was on, or TV or the news. Only after I got my food did I recall the expense and low satisfaction of eating...

This is our 2nd visit just because Food tastes really good.
Let’s talk about food first, we ordered:
Samosa - 3/5 It seems recooked (even after it’s not hot) and oily. I would not recommend, instead there are better place in OKC if craving for Samosa (check out other reviews to find the best in town)
Malai Kofta - 4/5 It’s delicious. Koftas are well cooked and gravy also with enough masalas and spices. I find some kind of extra food color here then others.
Naan - 3/5 It’s soft and cold. Seems like prepared as first dish before anything from our order.
Garlic Naan - 4/5 It’s good. I can count in few of the good restaurants for garlic naan.
Now coming to the restaurant and service part.
Service - 1/5 From where to start. I was not able to find enough utensils on table to even serve the food, (as a proud Indian I can easily eat with my hands). It took almost 15 mins to bring second order that’s just garlic naan.
Even after that they were failing at every point. I see one other table was struggling to even have water followed by utensils (they apparently took from another table).
The place has good vibe (4/5) with nice & clean surroundings to make you feel comfortable.
I always believe that if you want to succeed in food business hospitality matters most then food (remember I said succeed not just survive).
PS: wear jacket/ coat if visiting rest rooms, they believe in keeping it cold with no hot water for hand wash.
Also, it’s 100% vegetarian...
Read moreI came here looking for another Indian restaurant, to my surprise the name has changed but not the food I guess.
The person on the phone was very nice and extremely patient with me since I had issues understanding her over my loud speaker as I was driving at the same time.
I ordered a biryani chicken. The portion was okay. The price on the other hand was a little too high.
The taste was okay but not as I expected. The chicken pieces, boneless chicken pieces that is, were a little dry and the rice had an over sweet taste to it.
This is my third time this week eating Indian food, this biryani is a little different. A taste of safran makes it taste a little better than the ones I've had before, which were plain white rice, but I think without the sweet taste it would have been much better.
A good Indian friend of .one always tells me that he wishes that these restaurants wouldn't americanize Indian food too much because it looses its authenticity. But of course they have to cater to the American taste.
I wasn't going to add this but I'm adding it here just incase the person in charge reads this review. The person at the front register was okay, but I fo not think it's a good idea to answer the phone and talk to someone else when you have a customer in front of you.
Also, it's always a good idea to have a smiley person up front. The person that took my order did great on the phone.
Please like and follow for more honest reviews.
Thank...
