Neptune Submarine Sandwiches — Restaurant in Oklahoma City

My husband and I grew up with Neptunes Submarine Sandwiches and it is usually our favorite place for sandwiches in OKC! We even drive from Moore just for this sandwich, because we loved them and had faith in their sandwiches being always delicious. NO LONGER TRUE!!! Today, 02/22/23, we went and got two submarine sandwiches and they were sadly, horrible!!! WTF…..have they changed hands or no longer care or what??? Our sandwiches today had none of the oil and vinegar and seasonings on the lettuce and sandwich as in previous times. The bread was completely dry! (Use to be the bread was soft and fresh). Totally BLAND sandwiches today! Such disappointment!! The person taking our order did not pay any attention to our order and my husband ended up with the wrong style of sandwich which we didn’t realize until we got home in Moore! Their sandwiches today were a complete disaster. Hardly any meat, cheese and absolutely no vinegar and oil and seasonings! But unfortunately a ton of chopped cheap bland lettuce!! This place used to be my favorite, I just went thru the drive thru and purchased an whole old Italian, to my surprise this sandwich is now 12 dollars and some change, I do understand prices have gone up on everything but if you are going to up the price that much, at least add more meat to it, this is the skippiest sandwich I have ever received from your establishment. There is more cheese and lettuce on this sandwich than meat sm,the bread was not fresh and was very hard and the sandwich was not good at all, nothing like it used to be, the bread here used to be fresh but that was not the case today. The owner god rest his soul would be so embarrassed by this. My family has been going to this establishment since it was on the sw side of penn and 44th. I usually always take a picture of our food, but I did not this time. Man, I soooo wish I would. Sub was a joke! I seriously can't believe they serve subs like that. We will NEVER go back, and I can't believe this place has 4.6 stars!?!? Baffled. We got the Old Italian......it might as well, not had any meat on it. I'm still in shock at the lack of meat that was on our subs!!!! This was our 1st experience, and last! It was lunch hour when we came, the place was busy and so was the drive thru......I can't believe that many people were eating here.
