My husband and I have recently decided to get into ceramics and other crafts and purchased a small kiln we wished to maybe learn a bit more about and were guided to the House of Clay by recommendation.
The older lady we believe her name was Judith was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, polite, and welcoming.
Unfortunately, the other woman working was less than. As a middle-aged woman myself, it is hard to hear sometimes. I found myself having to strain to hear Miss Judith multiple times while attempting to make my purchase some of which (ceramic mold bands, testing cones, etc.) we failed to even purchase as I just wanted to leave.
The reason one couldn't hear and wanted to leave was because the other woman "working" that day was being extremely rude. Loudly talking with another customer there to pick up her ceramics about how "SHE" couldn't do tattoos. How she was happy hers were fake and so forth.

Everything I've done in the past has been perfectly coated and bright but this time everything was dull, smeared, streaky, and looked exactly like the paints before they're glazed and fired. (I packed on the coats and it was still dull when it came back to me) I won't be going back and until they stop watering down the paints, I would take your business elsewhere. The prices aren't crazy but the product has really tanked and its not even worth spending...
