The moment you breach the boundary of the doorway, at Nhinja Rockwell, the delicious aroma permeating throughout the establishment fills your nostrils, reassuring you that dining here is and always will be the right choice. Entranced by the music played at the perfect volume, I saunter over to my cushioned seating. The temperature, lighting, and vibe of the restaurant lulls me into a state of relaxation as I gaze over the menu resting upon the immaculately cleaned tabletop. Once ready, I approach the smiling faces at the register, place my specified order and return to my table. Brief moments later, this happened:

1st course: A lightly peppered egg drop soup with the perfect amount of chives served with a side of wonton chips. It’s the perfect viscosity and temperature. Flavorful and vibrant.

2nd course: The house salad with avocado, cucumber spinach, romain and seasoned beef with a light soy/ginger reduction. Magnificent.

3rd course: Kobe, geisha and spider roll platter served with a spicy mayo. Generous amounts of ginger, soy and wasabi. Fried perfection.

4th course: Kung pow shrimp with snow peas, carrots and peanuts. Nice garlic chili flavor. Lettuce wrap with chicken, onion and water chestnuts served on a bed of rice sticks. Lo mein and fried rice on the side.

5th course: A salted caramel white chocolate cookie slightly heated to bring out the many accents. The perfect desert and a perfect ending to a perfect meal.

I am currently already counting down the moments until I am blessed enough by the God of Jacob, Ibrahim (also known as Abraham, then later as Abrham) and Isaac with the opportunity of dining here again. The only other place I’ve eaten in Oklahoma City that is comparable is Vast. And frankly, it’s not even a close second.
