This place is absolutely disgusting. They have delivery drivers make part of the order. I do not work there. I am not trained in anything involving that store. I’m not protected by the garage nor the delivery company. It is a health code violation for my hands to be touching the products. I just got out of my car. I do not have a sink in my car. I cannot tell you the last time I properly washed my hands as far as touching a customers order. Utterly disgusting. That you have us make the order. If something was to happen to me Then what? I do not work at the garage. It is not my food. I should not have been involved in the making of any of it. That has got to be a health code violation as well as the fact of I am only getting paid a certain amount but yet I had to do yawls job. That is not what my job consist of. At all. Utterly disgusting and I will be calling the health department as it is Sunday.
Because, like let’s think logically here. You seal the order. The food. Why do you seal it? Because of the delivery driver. Because the only other people to interact with it, are you guys, who made it, meaning it’s fine for you to interact with it, and the customer, who paid for it, meaning it’s fine for them to interact with it. So you seal the food for me, but yet you have me make the drink? Please make that make sense I really need for someone to make that make sense to me. And on top of the fact, I am a very, very, very clean person so I know that it was most likely fine that I did that without prior washing my hands. But that means you guys just have anybody and everybody, making their drinks and in your station and touching the cups and touching the ice and that is just absolutely disgusting! A communal drink? Like what is this? Realized the stuff going on in the world that a lot of people don’t wash their hands and are actually disgusting? I know now I will never ever ever ever eat at a garage. Because y’all do not care about anything regarding germs or other peoples health. It seems really,...
Read moreI admit, I was certainly less than impressed! My husband came home after a long trip and we wanted something really tasty. Normally we go to S&B's but this was on the way home and we decided to give it a shot! I expected them to be MUCH more similar than they were... the ambiance was certainly close but that's about it. At S&B I normally purchase the "Smokin' Okie" which is a bacon burger with jalapeños and bbq sauce. Incredible on your taste buds... so I ordered the BBQ Bacon Theta and added jalapeños. The entire burger paled in comparison. If this burger was "good," S&B's burger was "AMAZING." Not only did The Garage really skimp on the BBQ sauce (I had to check to see if was even there!) but the bun was tasteless. Okay, okay, I know it's "just" a bun but S&B's "just a bun" apparently is way better. Didn't know this until I tasted the bun at The Garage. :(
We also ordered the sweet potato fries for $3 and I exclaimed out loud when I saw them, "That's IT?!" It was a bloody handful. For $3. You get double that over at S&B's for $2.50. They were also very bland, which is sad because that's what my husband was looking forward to the most! He'd talked about sweet potato fries the whole time he was away. He purchased the Spicy Chili Verde burger and didn't even eat it all, I had a bite and it was lacking even more in flavor than my own!
Compared to S&B it was a pure letdown. HOWEVER, I'm still giving it 3 stars because it's not like it was horrible, lol, we were simply expecting something better, something in the same taste realm as S&B. Lets say Braums hamburgers are a 3 on the scale from 1-10, and S&B burgers are at 10, The Garage was probably sitting there around a 7.
Bottom line: Don't expect S&B unless you're going to S&B, lol.
EDIT: I forgot to add, there is a noticeable price difference from S&B to The Garage which I suppose means you're paying an extra $2 per burger for taste. The Garage: $5-$7/burger. S&B:...
Read moreRecently I have been disappointed with the service here. I didnt have a great experience with my take out. I ordered my food at 545pm. When I got there it was 10 minutes later. She didn't have 20s for change since I had 100 and offered 5 and 10's. That's ok I'll use my card. No worries. Left a tip. She told me she would bring it to me. The other lady doing the take out is getting all the food ready. There are only two bags, mine and someone else's. Not that far away and she never called my name. She proceeds to call other people names. At this point, the cashier never checked to see if my food was ready and took other orders. She never addressed the issue of her bank not having enough change. Still more orders re being made and the my bag is sitting there. New bags are made and given to the person who bought. Then she calls a woman's name and looks dead at me. Nope. What's your name she says. I'm Tom....take two steps to the only other bag there. Here it is! By this point t I'm upset. No apology given. No offer to check the food to make sure it's correct or fresh. I get home, 3 minutes away, and the nachos are soggy from the toppings that they placed on it, the cheese is cold, and the sour cream looks like it's water. Can't eat it. The burger taste great and that is what the knee star is for, but do I want to have that experience again. Probably not. This is the second time that we have had issues with the take out. Last time my brother in law from out of town came here and all of his orders were wrong or missing. I am more upset since I have been in the food and beverage industry for over 10 years and reccomended this place. I won't make that mistake again. It's a shame because I gave this place a 5 stars...
