First off, dining is subjective. The service was absolutely amazing. If I only was grading on service this would be gold stars across the board. My companions loved their food. One ordered the Earth sandwich, the other the Press and Plough burger. We started with the Italian donuts and they were great. My issue is my dish, the carnitas. To be honest, Carnitas is my favorite breakfast item. I would consider myself a connoisseur of Carnitas. These carnitas were very greasy and lacked flavor. I have never had carnitas shredded like this . They were brought out in a small cast iron skillet which would imply a warmer temperature but these were barely warm. Did I mention oily? Very oily. To the point that this was the primary flavor. Carnitas should have a crispy edge. There was no crispy outside. This dish was very disappointing. To end on a good note I really do like the logos on the back of their t-shirts and tumblers. Again, service was phenomenal. Coffee was great.

Great potential, and I look forward to trying again once the dust settles and perhaps feedback on value is considered.

The dishes ordered were, while very small portions, tasty. The drip (or at least, standard black) coffee was great. We enjoyed the French Toast and the Frenchie Omelet. The French Toast was delicious but significantly overpriced for a single slice of bread and no sides. The Frenchie Omelet was beautiful and tasty with the exception of the "onion crunch" which was sour cream and onion chips crushed and slightly soggy by the time they were consumed. Big miss with the topping choice on the omelet and the side of potatoes were a rather small portion, again a disappointment compared to price.

It is ok to price yourself at the top of the breakfast market, but with a huge competitor so close, with much more generous portions at exactly the same price point for necessarily the same menu (no, Press & Plow is not elevated enough [yet?] to justify the price), you really have to differentiate yourself.

Lastly, missing in our visit was strong front of house leadership. The team was very friendly, and definitely large enough for the few tables indoors (it was rainy so the patio was closed). But service was chaotic and slow with every table having to ask for missing condiments/etc. Many of the, obviously new to service work, team seemed confused and walked around aimlessly looking for...

Super slow. We got there around 11:10 did not receive our drinks until around 11:40 and food until 12:30. I got a drink but asked for it without coffee and server said it could be taken out so I got it. Tried it and there was coffee. Server said that’s they’ll take it off the ticket since I didn’t drink it and gave it back to them after one sip but never did. We hadn’t realized until after we had paid and contacted the server again. He spoke to his manager to take it off and provide a refund but even the manager cared more about anything else than us. We waited another 10 minutes for the server to come to update us and nothing. Had to get their attention to get an update. He said the manager had said he was going to fix it for us but during those 10 minutes the manager was walking around doing anything and everything else and took another 5 minutes to even look at the computer for the refund. As a person who doesn’t like to play with peoples time I expect the same especially from a manager. We end up leaving around 1:15 due to this. What was suppose to be a 1 hour bunch end up turning into a 2-3 hour situation. As for the food it wasn’t bad but I felt like I need to rush to eat it before it...

The service was remarkable. We were greeted immediately by a smiling hostess who sat us at the bar. Once we took our seats we were greeted by Skylar who never missed a beat when serving. From drinks, to food, to asking how our meals were, Skylar was šŸ‘šŸ½ONšŸ‘šŸ½TOPšŸ‘šŸ½OFšŸ‘šŸ½IT! Excellent service! The food was on par with the service. Eggs, phenomenal. Potatoes were proportioned and seasoned perfectly. Bacon is bacon, and bacon is good, period. The homemade toast was delicious and toasted to the fine line of crunchy that DOESN'T cut the roof of your mouth (looking at YOU, IHOP) and the strawberry basil jam was the icing on the cake. Never did I think the two would pair so nicely as a jam, but I was mistaken, as this jam was easily a highlight of my meal. My only regret was not purchasing a mason jar of it to-go (which they DO offer). The restaurant itself is the perfect size to ensure the level of quality in both service and food quality. They do take reservations, which is highly advised as there was a line of potential customers waiting for an open table. Overall, this place was terrific and you would fair well stopping in and giving...
