I ordered using drive-thru the 2 filet/2 sides (mash potatoes and fried okra combo with 2 hush puppies and a water $10. Once ordered and paid the cashier indicated that the fish would be ready in 8 mins...um ok...I have no where to be and I like my fish fresh so I'll come into the store to wait.
Once in I noticed it was very clean from the dining area to the kitchen. I was impressed. I also noticed some playing in the back by the kids running the store...slight eye-roll there 🙄. Nothing inappropriate...but since there's visibility into the kitchen area be aware that patrons can see all activities and may not want to see the playing around while their food is being prepared.
Ok the 2 filets were really a nice size (i thought they were really filling) and cooked perfectly. The mash potatoes were really small, like 1/4 cup with a tablespoon of gravy on top. The okra along with the hush puppies were slightly overcooked and a few of the okra had a charred taste, so I did not finish the okra or the hush puppies. The 1 allotted tarter sauce (each additional sauce is .30. Each additional sauce should really be included in the meal. As I'd already paid for my fair share of sauces with this price, as 2 would have been sufficient for 2 fillets) but anyway it was a nice compliment to the fish. I was charged for the water 1.79...another eye-rolling 🙄.
Overall I liked the store's cleanliness. I would not get the combo again. It just was not a good value imo. I would just get the 2 fillets fish the next time I'm in the mood for fish as they were...

happy hour till 4pm that’s inflation friendly is unheard of. $4.99 leg+2thighs with biscuit is a blessing for many families🙏
During Covid season, we got to experience pleasant service at the drive thru and even more friendly, attentive employees at the dine-in. Bravo to the management at this location for creating a welcoming environment and team👏👏👏
5stars for things that matter🤣 We frequent this location dine in after middle school let out. Dinner rush at the drive-thru could be different for others but it’s always swift if it’s only 4 cars ahead plus having take out chicken for dinner bails me out of having to scramble for a quick family meal prep and chicken express have yet to disappoint.
Yes, I’m willing to tolerate for the occasional missed order but a phone call away and they promise to make it up next time. Please be reasonable people…Food quality is fresh and decent. So, ur 1 star review should have a time limit 🤷♂️

Read moreI rarely eat here but the last two times I came here they always mess up my order! The managers were nice and in resolving the issue but there is a disconnect in the back of the kitchen and people packing the orders! This is always a trend at Chicken Express for quite some time.
I had to drive back both times which took about 20 minutes from my house. They replaced my side that they missed but they never offered any free meal, extra side or drink for me being inconvenienced! With inflation going on, and people paying high prices on everything, you figure they would have a better system to get the orders right! And then me having to waste gas both times and mind you I have a family and we hate when this happens.
In my generation, if a business made a mistake with your order, they gave the customer something back for the inconvenience! It’s very sad the customer service nowadays has went downhill just over the Mighty Dollar, when the customer is inconvenienced which is sad! But I won’t be eating here again, I will stick to going to Raising Canes and Chic FIl A which I never got an order wrong from them. Chicken Express menu is inflated and a rip off anyway since they can’t get orders right like other establishments mentioned....
