I'm sorry for the essay but it truly was a terrible experience.
My Father, Brother, and I went there for Father's Day when they were offering free burger's for fathers. We went after church so they were fairly busy. When we walked in there was no one in front of us and we had to wait 5 minutes for someone to even check us in and by then there was a line behind us that went out the door. We were told it would just be a few minutes even though we noticed there were multiple tables that were empty. We ended up waiting over 20 minutes and they called people before us that walked in after we did.
Our waiter was overall friendly and apologized in advance because he knew they were busy and we might not get the best service. Our appetizer came out at a good time and was delicious (cheese cubes, highly recommend!!) and then it took about 45 minutes for our hamburgers to come out, which for me isn't that big of a deal since they were busy. After we received our food our service went down hill fast, we had to ask for water multiple times and about 10 minutes after we finished eating our waiter came by and thanked us for eating there, but didn't bring the check. We waited almost 30 minutes and the waiter still didn't bring the check, he even passed us about 20 times because there was a large table next to ours that had just sat down, my Dad even tried catching him a few times and it was like he was ignoring us.
Finally, my Dad went to the bar to find the manager so he could give us our check. Our waiter happened to be over there and came over when my Dad was talking to the manager (who never apologized) and he said he "forgot" about the check. When my Dad looked at the check his hamburger wasn't free even though it was free burgers for father's. He asked our waiter why and he said it was because me and my brother had got the two burgers and an appetizer for $20 and that was already discounted so his burger couldn't be free. That was extremely frustrating because before we ordered my Dad told our waiter that was what we were there for and we felt like he should have said something and we could have changed our order. Finally after over 2 hours there we were able to leave.
Sadly this is not the first time for something like this to happen to us at this location. Last year we went and it took over 10 minutes for our waiter to show up and a HOUR after we ordered to get our food. We told ourselves we would never eat there again and then a manager came by and apologized, gave us our meal for free, and then gave us two coupons for free burger's in the future, so we decided we could eat there again. With our most recent experience we have decided to not eat at this location again, clearly they have some issues they need to work out.
The food has always been great, which is why I generously gave...
Read moreWelp, it finally happened. I've been a vegetarian for almost 20 years. I ordered a Old Fashioned Deluxe SUB Impossible and didn't get an Impossible. How do I know? Well, I was suspicious about 1/3 of the way through when I saw some pink but thought: nah, they wouldn't be that careless, so I finished it. The fact that my stomach decided to reject it as I was blasted with discomfort and nausea then spent about 10 minutes vomiting. I've had S&B before and it was good, it was also an Impossible and it as also in store. This was delivery, maybe it was an accident maybe because it was delivery it was malicious; only the cook who made my burger knows the truth.
I've eaten many Impossible burgers. I've eatne many meals in my lifetime. This is the first time any meal I've ever eaten, let alone a burger, made me vomit within an hour of eating it. It was my fault for ignoring my gut instinct when I saw pink, but it is 100% S&B's fault for sending out the wrong protein.
All this means: if you have allergies or intolerances where you could get severely ill or die DON'T TRUST THIS LOCATION. I'm lucky as I don't have allergies and choose to be a vegetarian, though it still could have made me sick if my body didn't reject it. It still might too, I don't know, I haven't had meat in almost 20 years so I have no idea what to expect or how much my body digested before it made me vomit.
If you don't have any allergies or intolerances, you should be fine but when one aspect of quality control and due diligence fails, others will too. I wonder if hand washing is important to them, and...
Read moreMy husband and I arrived this evening for a late dinner before picking our son up from work at Kohls. We walked in at 9 p.m. as their Thursday night trivia had just concluded. They had approximately 4 occupied tables. We were greeted and told to sit anywhere we liked and our waiter got our drink order on our way. It appeared that our service would be outstanding. Don't get me wrong, our waiter was very polite. It took over 30 minutes to get our food and when it arrived it was wrong. I was served regular fries when I ordered sweet potato fries. They remade my fries. We have eaten at this location many times and have always been more than pleased. The food was excellent, but I could help but feel that our presence was an inconvenience. The slow service from the kitchen was shocking since there were no less than 6 people working in the kitchen and service area. I get wanting to close and someone walks in 10 minutes prior to closing time. I have worked in food service and find that to be rude, but we arrived a full hour prior to closing. Had we received our food more quickly we would have cleared out by 10 till 10 and not 10 past. I graciously tipped our waiter approximately 25% on our ticket. We will be back but this was a very disappointing experience at a normally...
