This had to be the friendliest Starbucks we've ever been to! We placed an app order. The girl at the window asked how our day was and our weekend, not intrusive, just enough to cheer a person up in the morning, while waiting for coffee. The manager stepped over and apologized for not having the size of cup that I had ordered, of course most places are out of Large sizes right now for whatever reason (pandemic?). Anyway, she gave me the biggest one and apologized for them not making domed lids for that size! It's not her fault! They actually do not manufacture them. She asked if we'd mind pulling around and she'd bring it right out to us b/c our daughter ordered a drink that takes longer. Our daughters go to Starbucks when they can and we all LOVE our coffee, tea, & Italian cream sodas, but my husband & I don't go to Starbucks a lot. When we're back in that area of OKC, we will probably make a point to go to this one on Penn specifically, even with 5 others close by. I love great service and tasty product! I got cold brew with the free cold foam and they charged me for it on the screen, I asked if they were honoring the free cold foam this week (may 7-11). She said yes with the app. I go to the window to pay and remind her before they charge me for it, I look at my receipt because the amount didn’t change and they still charge me for the cold foam. I let them know and the older lady then gets an attitude and blames it on me. Tells me I have to tell her not the lady with the headset on who took our order, that was standing right next to her. But she scanned the app, she should have taken it off. Who knows how many people haven’t been getting the deal. She ended up refunding me, after she was rude. So pay attention to your receipts, they don’t care about saving you the extra $2 off a drink.

While I, too, hate life in this flesh suit, this morning I was trying to make small talk to the barista (no cars behind me) and was cut off with "Do you even want to order something?" The person at the window did not connect with me, in fact, they didn't speak to me at all except to say "you're welcome" to my "thank you." Things like this have happened to me before here. I agree, I'm weird, but don't treat me like I am a burden. I have no idea how they got my drink to be so expensive (upcharging for cream in an Americano?) but kudos for earning starbucks more money and expanding capitalism, I guess.
