First impression is everything! I haven’t ever been to a Del Taco before, so I stopped by and went in. Bathroom was clean, dining room was immaculate, and the kitchen was open and very well maintained. They have kiosks, as well as staff working the front. I had crispy tacos and a Diet Coke. The food was great! Hot sauce was really good had the perfect kick. Taco shells were perfect! I’m picky about my Coke, and my Diet Coke was crispy and not watered down 🙌🏼.
But, the reason I’m providing feedback is because of the staff. When I went in they weren’t busy, but everyone was working! No one was on their phones!! I was using the kiosks to look through the menu and the young man working came up and checked on me. He was super friendly and helpful. The manager was also so kind and helpful to me. I have been out and about all day interacting with other places employees, and it was so refreshing to have a good experience somewhere. Read moreTotal chaos - drive thru worker was yelling at the customer in front of me this morning for not understanding how the menu works. The customer was elderly and was being very polite and trying to understand, but she kept yelling at him like he was stupid, and then finally slammed the window on him. He pulls around and goes inside to get helped.
I pull up to the window after repeating my order 3 times at the speaker. I wait and wait and wait and no one ever comes to the window. I can see the worker through the window yelling on the phone, hands flying in the air, and out of control. So I drive off after about 5 minutes of being ignored.
I call the next closest store and speak to their GM and was told they had the same DM. So I asked for a call from the DM. Never got a call. Which explains why the stores are in such chaos, because even the corporate level doesn't care. It's leadership down.

Read moreI went here to get some dinner because as a teacher, this second week was rough and long. I wanted to treat myself to some tacos and not have to worry about cooking. I place my order, and as I'm waiting to get to the window realized I forgot to order an ice water. I pull up to the window, apologize and ask to add the water to my order. I then get lectured on how I should have known it could have been ordered at the speaker and I'll be charged (2 bucks). I apologize again, it slipped my mind, to be further lectured on how they are working on improving their drive thru times and I am throwing off their times and on and on. I did still have to wait on my food, which was cold, fries like ice, and all my tacos haphazardly wrapped so most of the toppings fell out as I unwrapped them.
