This is absolutely the worst Taco Bueno in the City, which completely blows my mind based on where it is located. It is on the edge of Edmond & the better side of OKC. I stood at the front counter for almost five minutes waiting on someone to serve me. After the gentleman working the drive though window shouted for some out of sight employee several times, and he finally appeared and didn't hide the fact that he was clearly annoyed that I had interrupted whatever he was doing in the back. Mind you this was at 3pm on a Sunday and I was the only customer inside the restaurant, and it took another five minutes to get my 2 crispy tacos and 1 muchaco. The store management team here needs to be replaced along with the district management team that has allowed this poor service to continue. I have been here several times since I work down the road and the service has never been better than mediocre. I will not return to this location for any reason whatsoever as that's the only way I can truly express my dissatisfaction with this location. BEWARE unless you want to be treated as a bothersome interruption to whatever the overpaid employees are doing then...
Read moreJust don’t. I know what you’re thinking. Back in the 80s and 90s, Taco Bueno was absolutely amazing. You will not be reliving the glory days at this restaurant.
The cups of salsa tasted a little sour like they had been sitting in the fridge too long and the cardboard container was getting ready to fall apart. The taco shells were stale and they were only half filled. The tortillas were cold. The guacamole was brown. The rice was crunchy. The queso was watery. The beans were good. I’ll give them that.
They couldn’t figure out how to run the front register so I had to walk out into the drive thru to use Apple Pay. The workers reeked of weed which wouldn’t have been a problem for me if they were taking care of everything else. Besides it was more pleasant than the stale mop water smell coming from the seating area.
Like this place has just broken me because at one time Taco Bueno was my favorite restaurant. The nostalgia is gone. I’m surprised the health department hasn’t shut them down.

Read moreThis Location used to be the BEST in this area. It is right down the street from my work and I've been eating here for 7 years and never had a complaint. In the last 6-7 months something has changed. The drive-Thru is so slow... the people inside working are always confused and get orders wrong (I notice this when I go inside because the drive-thru is so long) But the main complaint is the quality of food... I love their party burritos and every time I get a party-sized tortilla stuffed so BIG like they do a regular burrito and it is oozing everywhere, so bad I can't eat it and half the time no cheese. I went there this morning and was told I couldn't have a Potato egg and cheese burrito because they were only serving breakfast. HMMM... It's something every time I go.... I never complain or write reviews, but I love this place and it has really gone down hill with the management, workers they currently have. Please Taco Bueno...
