ZERO STARS THIEVES ARE EMPLOYED THERE!! Needed to request refund. Hotel staff/on site manager ADMITTED that she entered room without permission late in the evening while we were out. Miss Lopez, entered our room between the hours of 8:30 pm-11:00 pm. She "thought" we were checking out. Our luggage and some of our belongings were removed and gone through. She stole our toiletry items we'd just bought still in the bags from Walmart. She stole high end ear buds charging, she stole make up out of a an overnight bag. I reported this to the the manager on duty at 11:05 pm right after their shift exchange that upon our return to the room that our luggage and toiletries were all missing. Had some pushback and deflection from her and the hotel manager, refused to cooperate. When police arrived, the on site manager did tell PD that the previous employee had no permission to enter the room. All of our overnight bags were sitting behind the front desk in a room. With items missing, items in different bags of other guests in the room. Manager on duty refused to look at camera's, said she had no access to the cameras. I am pressing charges on staff for theft/burglary. Do not book here!! Manager of hotel, Steven Jeffery was angry at the police, would not cooperate!! Miss Lopez was found to have had previous charges at employer who's customers reported theft as well.Targeted!! Told us it wasn't our fault they're not responsible for theft even between the hours of 8:30 pm-11:00 pm when they have no authorization to be in our prepaid room at that hour. Computer showed we were booked until the following day. Lies and zero...
Read moreFirst I wanted to say we called ahead and booked a room at this location specifically, because they told us that they had a hot tub, swimming pool, and free breakfast. When we got to our room, we immediately noticed that it smelled really bad. The ac didn't work well, the carpet was sticky, the lamp bulbs were hanging by a wire, plugged in. We realized that some of the smell was sewer, some musty. We went to the desk, told the lady about our room, she said she would have maintenance to our room by 10:30. Nope he didn't show. We took the lamp down to the desk so we wouldn't be charged for someone else's lack of responsibility. We once again told them about the smell. The maintenance man brought a band aid repair for the nasty smell comming from the pea trap in the sink. Who wants to brush your teeth in a sewer sink? We go down for breakfast, there was none! Again we asked for them to do their job, not no avail! There was ONE employee that cared, her name is Sonia, thank you Sonia for the great customer service! Again this morning I had to ask for coffee, one would think that a hotel that offers breakfast, would at the very least have some coffee, I Had to ask three times, the man at the desk was overly rude and acted like I was bothering him. Maybe if the people that work there did their job, people wouldn't interrupt their internet surfing! Rude, incompetent desk people, especially this morning July 28th 7:45 am. We checked out with out even a thank you. I for one out of the three of us WILL NEVER STAY AT A BEST...
Read moreThis is such a nice little place. We spent the night after a day visiting the Bombing Memorial, and were welcomed by Latrice at the front desk as if we were guests in her home, with fruit water at the desk. She was warm, smiling and pleased to tell us about the delicious breakfast, the pool hours, the all night gym, the well lit parking, and a few minutes after we arrived in our room, she called us to see if we had questions, needs or issues. She also adjusted our room rate easily when I showed the better rate on BW site after booking on there. I asked her to store our cold packs for travel and she placed them in a deep freeze overnight; she was so willing to accomodate us that she and the team get a 10 in my book. The hotel is older, and they have renovated. The beds are SO comfortable, the water was hot, and I appreciated two safety handles on the tub. The AC kept us comfy all night even though OC was over 100 degrees outside in August. This morning, Tina greeted us at the front desk, smiling, asked how we were, gave us a newspaper, retrieved my cold packs, and thanked us for coming. I did enjoy our restful quiet stay. We did not use the pool.
If you are new to area, careful of Kilpatrick Pike...it is a toll road and does not take EZ Pass; needs coins. I learned to stay on Memorial; it is easy enough to navigate. And the gas here is the cheapest we have ever seen; filled up for $2.10 this morning, then saw it for $2.05 several miles...
