At long last, my search for a good steak has once again ended in the Least likely of places, friggin Huddle House. I been searching all over the country for that place that nobody knows about yet. I didn’t want the usual boring overpriced bloomin onion steakhouse I wanted something to appreciate and boy did I find it. As I opened a menu I have long since browse many times in the last decade, the picture perfect steak dinner that I KNEW would never show up in front of me now in 4D, sold me despite the short order pancake joints rep of mediocrity (Hail Waffle House). My waitress did little to set my mind at Ease about my choice, having to come back twice to verify I indeed wanted a sweet tea, as she floated around on cloud 420 in circles just made me laugh.. Then.. my food arrives and I turn down the steak sauce. Seasoned Perfectly, Mid Rare like I asked all the way around, Streamed veggies and a loaded baked potatoe all seemed to have been timed Perfectly... As was the devouring of my plate ending in my Texas Toast giving my plate a squeegee. Tipped my waitress for her time and handed her an extra $5 for whoever made that steak that she happily announced to the 20 something stoner at the grill who proceeded to high five his coworkers as I walked...
Read moreIs like to first say, that over all this was a decent meal & they were pretty busy when we first arrived. I do, however, have some concerns that I would personally like to know about if this was my restaurant. I have worked in the food service industry for years, including management positions. Sandra, a waitress, was impressive. She was professional, clean, hard at work the ENTIRE time I was there, and really had some pep to her step, & a smile on her face...even though you could tell she was wore out. I can't say enough good about her. Every restaurant needs 10 just like her. Hannah was our waitress, she was efficient. Our order was correct, drinks never emptied & she was clean....BUT she never once smiled, was kinda slow moving, and ALL of her tables needed wiped off. Then there was a cook...Angela, oh my. I only learned her name because of Hannah calling her by name. She was loudly voicing her disgust in her relief cook. It was so unprofessional that it made me feel uncomfortable for the other employees. I was actually even embarrassed for them, because I could hear her chewing out her relief & spreading her fowl mood to everyone. Im sure you already know moral is important to success in a fast-paced restaurant....
Read moreWe went to Huddle House on 10/04/2025 at 1:17 p.m. The waitress was nice enough, but had a hard time explaining eggs when my husband asked for OE eggs. (They came out HARD FRIED).. I got their hashbrown casserole with fried chicken, there was no casserole, it was hashbrowns cooked with SOURED ONIONS.. I had to spit it out and go to the restroom as it gagged me so bad The waitress was pleasant and asked if she could replace, I said no thank you. My husband got his plate of eggs and hashbrowns finally, the bacon came out a few minutes later... then a while later came his pancakes... About the time he was finishing, he asked the girl about his grits, she said they were almost ready. However, he told her just forget them as he was done. Being a breakfast place they did NOT have biscuits. It was the worst breakfast we have ever had in our life. The best thing about the restaurant was the sweet little bus girl … Never ever will we return nor recommend to anyone. It explained why the other tables around us left with plates of unfinished food. SAD.. oh and when we walked in, the other side of the restaurant had a booth with food all over it and all over the floor, it was still there...
