Taco John's — Restaurant in Olathe

They seem to think a repeat customer is the same thing as a stalker. I can't think of another reason for these teen's behaviors. I work nearby and eat out a lot; so I was here 1-3 times a week for a while. At first they were polite enough. But at some point it got suddenly very weird. On one such occasion, I was placing an order and a kid in back told the order-taker, "Careful that guy will try to grab you". And it was no kind of friendly joke. Other times I got glared at angrily and had no idea why. Another time a girl was standing in the kitchen staring at me. That confused me so I stared back a few moments then asked if she's taking my order. Then finally she stepped up to the register. As I left, she struck a model-pose at and giggled to her friends in the kitchen; so she'd interpreted our awkward moment as something else than her weirdly glaring at me and me being confused by it. I realized I couldn't keep coming back where young people think something's happening that isn't. If they're bored and want to gossip and joke about customers, that's fine. But not in front of...

They have covered the drive through windows to help keep you from seeing the staff but the sun hits just right and I still saw three of them in their cell phones as my order took nearly 10 minutes... After waiting for the order before me that took nearly as long! My order was a steak taco salad and a grilled burrito with steak. What did I get? A seat taco salad and a grilled buritto with chicken... /facepalm. How do you check the inside of a burrito before driving away? Also on one visit I decided to dine in, I went to sit in a booth and nearly busted my rear-end lol. They are hard as a rock. I don't mean a super hard cushion, I mean they have no cushion like a stone park bench lol. I should have realized but I had never experienced zero cushion in a restaurant before and flopped into the seat thinking their would be a little something there lol. /facepalm At this point I hoped everyone on staff and in the restaurant was on their phone and not noticing my foolishly action and shocked...

I’m absolutely appalled by how the staff treated my family. There are a lot of people in my family and my mom went to go pick up some tacos. She ordered a lot (because we have a lot of family members). She came back very upset with how rude the staff was to her. They said “who orders $60 worth of food HERE” and my mom said “I’m sorry if it a hassle, I’ve got a lot of people in my family”. The employee looked at another employee making the food and said “good luck with that”. Then they all walked back to the kitchen (which you can clearly see from the cafe) and start talking and complaining about how much food we ordered. Last I checked a business stays open from customers buying food? Food was good but not enough to make up for the way we were treated by the staff. My mom even said “you guys should be careful how loud you talk back there because customers can still hear you. Horrible staff to whoever worked...
