will make my review short since everyone pretty much touched on all aspects of this place. I was referred to this place by a fellow Yelper and when I saw the pics and reviews I bookmarked it ASAP lol. I was able to choose a spot for an early Fathers's Day Brunch spot and this place came to mind even though it was an hour drive. I figured today was the day since rain was in the forecast. So with the hour drive and 40 minute wait let me just say it was the best hour and 40 minute investment of time I have ever made.
Food: 6 out of 5 Stars LOL Spectacular and Wonderful presentation for breakfast. What's most importantly is that the food taste better than it looks if that's even possible The menu has a lot of options so your head can start to spin if you have a hard time choosing what you want to order like me lol. I decided to try the "Hercules" Scrambler. (3 Scrambled Egg Whites, Turkey, Spinach, Mushrooms, Broccoli, and Fresh Mozzarella) The turkey blend with Broccoli and cheese mixed was nothing less than Phenomenal. The country potatoes were made to perfection with a nice crunch and well seasoned. My fam had the "Nova Benedict" 3 Poached Eggs Over Smoked Salmon steamed spinach topped with Hollandaise Sauce and "The LumberJack" Kelibasa, Ham, Bacon, Home Fries , tomatoes, onions, melted cheddar cheese. Listen Mannnnnnnnnnnnnnn this place is a Brunch Foodies dream seriously. The Quality Vs Portion/Price ratio is just Sick In a Great Way LOL. When we were waiting were wondering why so many people kept having to go bags in there hands thing they were orders to go. Come to find out the Portions are so HUGE that it is literally impossible to finish it all one setting. So those were to go bags lol #TrueStory
Customer/Service: 6 out of 5 stars Listen from walking in the front door to our server...everyone that we ran into was super friendly and helpful and you could tell it was not an act. I cannot personally thank them enough for their positive attitudes on such a rainy nasty day outdoors with huge crowds of people ready to eat and still having that huge smile on their faces. They were efficient and everything ran like a well oiled machine.
Overall bottomline this was one of the best brunch experiences I have ever had from all aspects as a customer. I left that place feeling more like family than a customer and that says a lot in this day and age. They have a great reviews for a reason and I saw first hand why today well deserved so Bravo to you Comfi (Currently Clapping And Giving A Standing Ovation While Writing This Review) I will be back to try the popular Pierogies everyone was talking about. Supposedly its kind of a big deal (In My Ron...
Read moreThey serve food for giants here, so beware. The pricing of what is on the menu may not be accurate. The first time I was here, I ordered the steak and eggs and asked for corned beef hash instead of home fries and I'm glad I did. The eggs were cooked to perfection and the yolks were very vibrant. The meat that came with the eggs seemed to be a thin cut of steak, but it was good great and it was delicious! 🤤
One of my friends ordered an eggs benedict and pancakes. The meal was huge and the pancakes were massive! 😯
The food was so good, I showed up the next day for more. The second time, I ordered the ''turn up the heat'' eggs, which were eggs with sriracha, turkey sausage, pepper jack/cheddar cheese, tomato, green pepper on a croissant. I asked for it in a burrito instead of on a croissant.
I thought there would be more sriracha or it added throughout the eggs but it wasn't too noticeable. I also thought the turkey sausage was going to be more like sausage crumble. Instead, it was huge turkey sausage, like chopped up patties. I think for this meal, the crumble would be much better. The green pepper looked colorful and fresh but had no real flavor.
The second time I brought my own hot sauce with me to add to my meal and it was amazing with Marie Sharp's hotsauce. The food was good, but it could have had a lot more flavor.
For both my meals, I asked for raspberry iced tea and it hit the spot. I noticed that the waiter/waitress get busy with all of the tables and may not be as attentive as other restaurants, this may be something to be aware of. The other thing, which is more of a personal frustration is, it is very noisy in here and it can be distracting. If you're used to working remote and not being around people, it can be a lot to take in from a sensation perspective. I removed one star from the atmosphere and service for these.
My only other frustration is price. Compared to what is on the menus, you can generally expect to pay a little bit more. My meal the second time because of the substitutions came out to ~$30, which is -insane- for some eggs, corned beef hash, turkey sausage and cheese. I get that eggs are expensive in 2025, but they aren't this expensive. There's no way they used a whole carton of eggs on my meal. I removed one star from my overall rating because of this.
Overall, the food is great quality and I'll be back to try a few other things. If you end up finishing your meal here, it will probably be your only meal...
Read moreUpdate: it is amazing what few months could do to the level of service in a place, and Cozy turns out to be no exception, let's unpack this now: When a customer says somthing regarding the service in a place, the first 2 words out whomever the customer is talking to are :I'm sorry, however this wasn't the case on today's visit, which will be our last, sadly. After a 20 minute wait, you're taken to your table asked what drinks you'd like and left for few minutes to make your choice, that's normal and fine, however, getting your drinks and not even asking if you're ready, to move the next table, that was seated after you, to take that table's deink order and full order for 4 people while you and your spouse are left to...uhhh figure out your own answers to the universal question...are we invisible!? When i pointed out the young lady if there was any reason why she kinds skipped us , no apology, just attitude and well, take it or leave it! So, we left it :-) paid for the drinks with exact change, needless to say, no tip. So, back to the beginning of this wee rant, it is amazing what 1 person can do to your business, and i guess since business is doing well, who cares if 1 or 2 people are treated like plebs :-)
I left my original review as is, it's from August of 2024, just so viewers can compare.
So long, Cozy Cafe, my money is going somewhere else.
Food quality is top notch, very nice and wide options on the menu, simply put...there is somthing for everyone's taste and craving. Portion size is...well..very generous to say the least, during the 45 minutes my wife and I were there, not one guest left without a to go box :-) which is nice to see to be honest, it's good to see a business that takes care of giving "your money's worth" kind of treatment. My one not so positive note, mind you, not criticizing at all, is that the dining room in the front was a bit too warm, and the room in the back was a bit too loud due to the placement of the speaker, other than that, everything was perfect. Highly Recommend this place for breakfast/lunch, oh, and if you are into kielbasa, order the "Strong&Sexy" which isn't what some might think lol, but a kielbasa...
