Famiglia Bistro Pizzeria — Restaurant in Old Bridge Township

I’ve been dealing with this place for so many years with no issues. This last order the focaccia comes with mold on it and it’s clearly moldy bread. I called back and I’m told no I make it fresh to order that’s impossible. As you can see clearly mold on the bread. After a few minutes of conversation ( why even a conversation) they agree to send me another one. When the driver arrives he was very nasty and confrontational saying I stood there and watched him make it, it’s always fresh. It’s from the oven???? I said look it’s clearly mold that’s all. He then comes at me with, take the new one out of the tin and show me the difference. I told him to to leave and now we don’t trust the food that was delivered. For the driver to know there may have been an issue with food and to have stood over the chef making it. I just can’t eat it. I never post bad reviews for food due to I understand that Things happen. If there was less than one star, they would have it. It pains me to even give one. My sisters birthday is today, and she asked that we order from here. It’s usually very good. Today, however, the pizza was delivered absolutely inedible. My father, who will be 80 next month, who is a Vietnam War error veteran, called to explain that the pizza was not edible. The man berated my father. Said it was not his fault, he makes a beautiful pie and it must be the heat. My father asked for his money back, they said no way are you getting your money back! He insisted the pie was perfect!! He told them he has been a costumer for years, has never returned a thing!! He got in the car and took it over to show them. He put the pie on the counter told him to open the box. It was soggy and burnt. He refused to give him his money back, STILL!! He continued to fight with my father. He finally gave him his money back and banned him...

I ordered a small pizza pie with mushrooms and onions. I was charged $23 for such. The onions and mushrooms were cut into chunks instead of thin slices, this caused them to not cook properly and only slightly release their water. This caused the pizza to be soggy, the crust to be undercooked on top, the cheese to be runny, and the pizza to have a nasty, bitter taste, instead of a pleasant, sweet one, if the veggies had been cut and cooked appropriately.

This is a professional pizzeria, selling exorbitantly priced pizzas, please do better.

Update: after about a year, I decided to give them another try, in which case, if they did better, I would change this review. Instead of taking the opportunity to correct their reputation -- they hung up on me.
