J & P Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Old Bridge Township

I walked into this place since it had good ratings. unfortunately never going back again. I walked in with my toddler I haven't decided whether I would dine in or order food out. They seem very unwelcoming the minute I walked in with my toddler & the lady in the front was giving my kid very dirty look. So I decided to just order food to go. The lady took a call, handed me the food rushed me out and totally ignored me! They just wanted me to leave ASP with my kid. They didn't provide no forks, no spoons, no napkins and no hot sauce which I wanted!!! Never asked what sauce I may want?! I never felt this alienated for walking into a crappy restaurant with a kid ! Never again...

The food is not the issue at all. The food is amazing! The problem is they just switched to a call answering service that answers their delivery calls and I just want to say no thank you! They are using some company that’s definitely over seas and I called 3 times and all 3 times it was a problem. I had to repeat my order about 5 different times. I can’t speak any more clearly when I order and there is just a language barrier. It’s a shame to because I will not be calling again if they continue using this service. Only Chinese I trust for a long time. Best in town as far as I’m concerned but haven’t ventured out much since I see no other reason to get Chinese anywhere other than J&P! Handful of others I’ve tried locally and beyond have not matched up. Sesame chix/beef w broccoli/dumplings (steamed!), crab Rangoon. Just few faves. The lady at the register is a staple for as long as I’ve been coming around (10-15 years)? Maybe more.
