I used to love this place until today. Went in around 1pm and just ordered 2 bagels with cream cheese. Place was empty when I walked in. Before I knew it, 20 minutes had passed and my bagels still weren’t up. Everyone who ordered after me had gotten their food and left. I tried to get someone’s attention and had no luck. After 30 minutes of waiting one of the girls working at the counter asked me what I was waiting for. I told her it was just two bagels and it had been a long time already. My order was never made and she said they “forgot” about it. It was another 5 minutes until they even asked the cooks to make it. I then realized I forgot to ask if they use a separate toaster for GF bagels. I have celiac and get very sick from cross contamination. I asked the girl if she could ask the cooks before they make it and she said sure.
50 mins had now passed and no food. I politely asked for a refund and mentioned that I had my mom at home watching the baby so I could run out quickly and get us lunch, but my mom needed to leave. They then told me I could not have a refund because my food was being made and I had to wait. As they hand me my food, the girl tells me that she never asked the cook about the toaster and I needed to ask myself. I ask the cook, and he told me that they don’t use a separate toaster. I explained how I have a bad allergy and cross contamination makes me sick, and sharing a toaster doesn’t make it GF. I asked if mine could be remade and he said no. I asked again politely because I was not able to eat it, and he said no and walked away.
I went back to the register and demanded a refund again. I explained I was now there for over an hour just for my food to not be made right and when I asked for it to be corrected it was refused. The girl wanted to only refund one bagel, but I told her I needed a full refund seeing as I waited over an hour at this point to get the wrong food and I had asked for a refund and to cancel my order in the first place. Never once got an apology for waiting so long or for the food being made wrong. Absolute worst service. I’m...
Read moreTERRIBLE experince. Got there and ordered a simple toasted egg everything bagel with cream cheese and a meat lover omlet. The guy taking the order was very unfriendly and had no idea what the meat lovers omlet was (all he had to do was write it on his pad and give it to the kitchen) but instead he walked around behind the counter for 5 mins not saying anything while i tried to explain that the item i wanted was right on the board infront of him and he ignored me. Next we went to the caisher to try to pay and she told us we can't pay till our food is ready so we wait. At this point there ware prob 10 people waiting around for there orders. They start yelling out peoples orders and have no idea who orded what causing so much confusion. Instead of taking names when you order they did nothing to try to make the process go smoother. People were getting half there order and the workers had no idea where the rest was. After 45 mins of waiting and still no food and getting very frustated at this point i go to up the cashier and ask her where my food is. Instead of apologizing after telling her i have been waiting for 45 mins she very rudly told us they are under staffed and 3 people called out today (i dont care not my problem) a guy behind me says "that what they told me last week too". A different worker now goes to see if she can locate our food. She comes back laughing saying she does not see an omlet anywhere but she "found" my bagel. She gives my cold hard bagel and i asked for a new one since i wanted to toasted and it has sitting around now for 45 mins getting cold and hard. She said she would make it herself. She comes back about 10 mins later with my bagel to tell me they didnt have anymore egg everything so she just gave me something els.. Needless to say after over an hour i walked out of there with no food at all and i will...
Read moreWas excited to try the new bagel place in our area and were extremely disappointed. Not only on the general service but also on the quality of the food. First impression is the place has no organization. We have common sense so we approached the bagel case to place our order and waited to be acknowledged however there were no signs or clear markers of how to go about placing an order. The man behind the counter took an order before us and then just pointed to me to order. I don’t think it’s too much to expect a smile, a “hello” and a “what can I get you?”- that’s just polite. We ordered our bagels and went to the counter to pay. There were 5 people standing behind the registers and we were told to pay once our bagels were ready. This would have made sense if there weren’t 6 other people waiting to pay as well and created a bit of craziness when everyone’s bagels came up at the same time. Aside from the uncomfortable service, the bagels weren’t fresh at all. They were stale and overly chewy. I went to separate our 5 year olds plain Untoasted bagel and it made a loud snapping sound. It and my poppy bagel were near impossible to chew- basically inedible. For a place called the bagel factory, a stale bagel is definitely not what you’d expect but it’s what...
