Bagel Mania — Restaurant in Old Bridge Township

I've been coming here for years because Bagel Mania consistently made fresh food, with great service, at a reasonable price. Sadly, they have LOST my patronage after today. I placed an order by phone and was told it would be ready in 10 min. I got there in 20 min, and they completely forgot my order. The worst part was, we were the only customers- how do you forget to make an order when no one else is there? The owner apologized and offered us their new menu, saying that he won't charge us their new higher prices given the "error", and gave us a small piece of crumb cake. How kind! 😒 The final straw for me was when I opened my kid's egg sandwich and found ONE measly strip of bacon cut in half. In all the years of been coming here, the sandwiches always had 2-3 full slices of bacon. I asked them to fix the sandwich and was told "this is always how much bacon we use and we'll have to charge you extra". Sorry not sorry, but I refuse to pay higher prices for dwindling service and inferior food quality. The tables and floor were horribly filthy too, with food bits and crumbs everywhere. Absolutely a bummer but they lost me as a customer for good....

Phyllis is awesome. The woman is magnificent at what she does, including (but not limited to) cooking on the grill, making deli sandwiches, bagel sandwiches, or any of the other 3 million things an employee needs to do for a bagel store / luncheonette to be successful. We go there just because Phillis's cooking is AMAZING, and we're mesmerized by her innate ability to manage dozens of tasks, all at the same time.

Bagel mania's bagels are the best around. The bagels they make are huge, packed with abundant flavor, and are perfect for making just about any kind of breakfast or lunch sandwich. I often buy them by the dozen, and toast them at home as a side for my dinner.

Their cinnamon raisin, and their "super cinnamon" raisin bagels toast up like a round hunk of heaven, you can butter up with whatever meal you've made in the privacy of your own home.

I am VERY disappointed with the service I received coming to Bagel Mania. My boyfriend and I stopped here to grab some food before our trip. When we were ordering, it was very obvious that the young girl taking our order (two bagels with cream cheese) was not paying attention and didn't write down anything at all. We waited for about 15 minutes while about 4-5 other people came and left with their food. We eventually said something to the girl who took our order and she proceeded to laugh to another employee and then turned to us and said "sorry I forgot what you ordered". I then told her again what we wanted and she was laughing the entire time making the order. We then went to pay for our food and the two older men behind the cash register asked me for my number and kept trying to hit on me. The unprofessionalism was unacceptable. Never going back here.
