Dunkin' — Restaurant in Old Lyme

I visited this Dunkin’ Donuts location today, my mom works here and caught covid here 3 weeks ago. Health department said we are good to come out of quarantine and go about our daily lives so I decided to place an on the go there and the new employee Ryan decided to start yelling at me telling me I couldn’t be there and that I need to stop ordering dunkin from that location (because my mom had covid) mind you the health department said were safe to come out of quarantine. I told him I am a customer and he shouldn’t be speaking like that to me, especially where he claims To be the new manager and as I walked out the door he said to me “you are trash”. This is not the first encounter I had here that made me second guess coming back. It is So wrong and disrespectful to speak to a paying customer so rudely. I went there this morning around 5:30 and was greeted by the friendly worker who is usually there. She apologized profusely that coworkers who were supposed to arrive at 4:00 and another at 5:00 had failed to show up and that she was all alone. Further, she arrived to quite the mess and nobody had locked the business door last night.

I go to this particular Dunkin because this employee is so friendly. She has her regulars she knows their orders on sight and is chatty and warm. I feel the owners of this place need to give her a raise for being truly one of the few faces at any Dunkins who knows what great customer service is and delievers it. The fact she is going out of her way to still be there working despite the lack of help, deserves recognition...

On a road trip, stuck in traffic so I figured I would get off the highway and get an iced coffee and something for my son to eat. This is without a doubt the dirtiest Dunkin Donuts I have ever been in and I have been in many. The bathroom was so gross. Layers of dust and urine splatters on the toilet paper roll, toilet nasty, sink nasty. The floor had so much crud on it. The dining room was dirty, flies were buzzing around the donuts and the cooking area was even more dirty. The floors had food that had dropped, old wrappers. The counters had coffee rings..
