Tijuana Flats — Restaurant in Oldsmar

A friend and I went to get take out for our families, last night. Completely disappointed. I won't write a bad review based on my first bad experience, because we all have bad days. But after a few bad experiences, here you go....BOTH of our take out orders were wrong. Two, completely separate orders, and they forgot items, didn't create meals as requested, and the food was just pain disappointing. Some examples: Chicken was barely existent in the chicken nachos, but they covered that up with plenty of soggy lettuce & tomato, more lettuce than nacho chips on a nacho plate...what were they thinking??? Didn't order a nacho salad! Forgot the guacamole, as requested. Didn't put the cheese sauce on a burrito, as requested. Completely forgot to put in rice and beans, that is supposed to come with the meal. Messing up one order to go, heck it happens, but two? How many more were messed up? Called and they were kind enough to offer to make another order that we could come pick up, but we ordered to go for a reason. We had long days and needed the convenience to feed our kids. We don't live in Oldsmar, so we didn't want to drive back. The last few times have been really disappointing. I hope management reads this and works with the employees, on quality control and customer service. It used to be a great place, but it's going...

I have been coming to Tijuana flats tex mex for the past 2 or 3 years and sadly the only thing there that has had me coming back is the chips and queso. A problem that I have found with this location in particular is that they hire all these young people who have no care or regard to how your food comes out and due to that they usually forget to put protein in the food or they undercook it or even burn it honestly takes a manager to be present for them to correct them and yet find it still acceptable to sell. Now this something that is able to be fixed and moved past on but I can't get past the fact that there is terrible customer service and over all bad experience if your a younger individual, they seem to think that they only need to help large family's too get by when really every customer should go in and have a great experience that draws them back for more. And sadley this is why I have give them a 2 star rating, maybe with a better staff that can give a better overall experience especially with the prices they charge they will be able to fix the constant problems they seem to have and make it a more enjoyable place to come into. But I can't complain too much really Tijuna flats tex mex is the equivalent of fast food just minus a microwave and sadly that's all it...

First, let me note that Tijuana Flats was at one time, one of my favorite places to eat. I have tried a lot of different items on their menu, and, weekly, we would eagerly await Taco Tuesday. We would sometimes eat at one location or another twice a week.

About two years ago I started noticing that this location in Oldsmar started going down hill with quality and amount of food in the box, so after quite a few messed up take out orders, price raises, and substantially less food in the boxes (everything from taco filling to chips), we decided to take a break from Flats.

After about a year, I decided to give it another try today. Much to my disappointment, my tacos were literally half stuffed and the taste was just ok. The salsa did not taste the same, and I found out they discontinued their incredible wheat tortilla shells.

I am definitely disappointed because I was hoping they may have gotten the message from other customers and improved their food back to what it used to be.

I may try the location down on East Bay, because I know their food used to be the best of all of the locations. However, I am not optimistic this is a location specific issue.
