Visited for breakfast on a weekday morning around 10am. The restaurant had a few tables occupied at that time. Parking is plentiful and the restaurant was clean with room between tables. The hostess gave us a smiling greeting and took us to our table leaving menus. Our waitress promptly visited and we had our coffee delivered quickly leaving the insulated pot for convenient refills. Unfortunately no napkins and utensils were left for our use and the waitress was gone for a few minutes but there was a table near the kitchen with utensils so we got our own. That sparked some remarks by some talkative customers. My partner had the Denver Omelette with sausage patties, hash browns and pancakes and I had the classic eggs, turkey sausage, hash browns and pancakes. We both enjoyed the hash browns as they were light and tasty and not stuck together. Both of our egg dishes were a bit dry and bland. The pancakes were served on a small 7” plate and left little room for syrup as they filled the plates and received one pat of butter on top of pancakes. They were tasty though. My partner enjoyed his port sausage but highly recommend to NEVER try the turkey sausage links - they were by far the worst tasting version ever tried. Waitress was pleasant and had a couple table visits by the manager but just let it go.
Now the worst part is partly the restaurant’s fault as an issue with the ladies room. One stall had a paper sign out of order so left one for women. There was a wait and the person before me actually soiled the toilet seat even though there were seat covers present. Very disgusting to clean up after a grown woman since needed to use after waiting for 3 other people who took their time. The woman was verbalizing loud noises, left without washing her hands and I was standing behind the door as not much toom to wait and a man who was with her kept holding open the door asking her what was taking so long and did so several times disregarding that she was not the only person there. I think she may have had a memory issue but the bathroom is behind the hostess stand and they could have observed the man opening the door several times.

Read moreI love this village inn, it’s the best around! I have an 5 star review because it is amazing … All the servers are Amazing EXCEPT Lindsey … she’s the very reason I left the village inn on Hillsborough Ave and thankfully they had opened this one! BUT now she’s at this one and yet again… I’m not coming back again probably. She is a horrible person! And the laugh sounds like nails ln a chalkboard! Other than that … and the older lady that seats you is nasty (to me anyway) this place is amazing! I’m sorry to stop coming here.
Explaining why the server Lindsay is such a horrible person ….. I knew her previously from the Village Inn on Hillsborough in Town and Country. We would chat and what not… and one day she went off on me out of the blue … and we never talked again. You would think that she would be mature and No, she wasn’t. She would make nasty remarks to other servers about me loud enough and within ear shot of me. She would go in the kitchen and talk about my orders and tell my server to make sure they gave me a “tub” of this or that if I asked for extra. She would make nasty remarks and make sure they were super loud and just laugh and laugh. So imagine how I felt when I walked in and saw her and was seated in her section, she made sure to switch with another server so she didn’t have to serve me and my boyfriend and she was back to the talking nasty about me in the kitchen and laughing and laughing again!! How old is she???? Is she in middle school still because I’m 51 and I don’t have time for the drama! The whole reason she’s at this Village Inn I’m sure is because of the 18% mandatory tip, she probably wasn’t making anything near that at the other Village Inn because of the way she treats people!!
Shout out to Christina (?) Mateo and Kelly… all super super...
Read moreI’ve been meaning to write a review for the longest time but i kept forgetting my google password haha, anyway I’d just like to say that I can’t speak for all of the food (I always get the same thing) and the atmosphere as I always do take out but I can imagine it’s all good. Every time I go there the ladies that have helped out have been nothing but kind. The food is always good, i get the adult grilled cheese with tomato soup and fries and it hits every time! As for the pie i always get the strawberry rhubarb pie and omg it’s heavenly!! Thank you guys and please don’t change!
Update: They changed 🙃 I try to support small businesses like village inn which is why I’ve held my tongue the last two times I ordered from this place and had to go back because they forgot something. This was the third time and it was so bad that I had to call back and inform them of the fact and didn’t bother going back to pick up the missed items. I ordered the turkey dinner and it came with no cranberry sauce or biscuit. I asked why I got Texas toast and the waitress I spoke to said “because it comes with that” I then I had to inform her that “no, on the menu it comes with a biscuit.” It’s literally in the picture that displays the food item. Unless I’m desperately hungry, this will unfortunately be the last time I visit this Village Inn with this kind of service being the norm. after reading some other reviews (wanted to see if this has become a pattern) I realize now that with $3 I wouldn’t care to do my job properly either. DO...
