Shrimp fried rice was the best dish we had today. Shrimp was juicy and the rice was flavorful! Peking duck was our second favorite. It was a bit dry and the skin was not as crispy. It was also not the airy light crisp. It was not the best peking duck but probably the best in the neighborhood. Sesame chicken was nicely fried, had much flavor and crunch to it. However, sesame chicken and the beef dish tasted so similar to Panda Express. Very crunchy, extreme sauce and tad too sweet. In my opinion, there’s no need to pay the extra money to have it at Hunan. Hunan Delight is definitely one of locals favorite and I see that a lot of Koreans also like H.Delight, I saw tables full of Koreans. I am sure they’re coming for the duck. However, I can’t say it’s one of the memorable Chinese I had. It’s not authentic but more of Americanized Chinese. It’s good but not memorable.

This place was an absolute letdown. The service was downright terrible—staff acted like they were miserable and completely burned out, with zero care for customers. The fried dishes were a disaster, soaked in rancid, overused oil that left them dark and practically inedible. It’s like they don’t even bother changing the oil. To top it off, the service between courses was nonexistent. They’d toss the food on the table and vanish, with no follow-up or attention whatsoever. And then they expect a 20% tip for this? It’s outrageous to feel forced to tip for such a awful experience. I can’t believe people actually pay to eat here. This was my first and last time, and I wouldn’t wish this place on anyone. Save your money and avoid this dump at all costs.

Ordered kung pao chicken, white meat (white meat chicken is not the default here), no peanuts, no water chestnuts. Got a bowl full of mature, chewy, green onion shoots. Order took 59 minutes from phone call to pickup. Place is, and has always been, visibly dirty. Carpet has not been changed since I was a kid- 30 years ago. Bathroom is also original and if you're someone that judges places by how clean the establishment's bathroom is, you'd never come back here. Not sure how they get away with the level of visible filth that has been present, basically forever. They must be using a lot of msg that is hooking us. Ha.

I had been eating at this restaurant for about 25 years until about 15 years ago, mostly because I live nearby. Except for two dishes that I know of, the food served here cannot be called Chinese and maybe not even Chinese-American. It might more accurately be described as American/American-Chinese. At it's best, the food was mediocre. I am STUNNED that another reviewer gave 5 stars for food HE describes as "medium quality. Can't ask for more." REALLY? You can't ask for at least GOOD quality food?

Either the ownership and/or the management changed and I had high hopes. I am NOT of Asian descent, but many of my neighbors are AND I love authentic Chinese (and other ethnic) food! I went to the restaurant and spoke with a young man who seemed to be the manager. I asked him to add a few authentic dishes to the menu using ingredients they already stock. Btw, they cook with NO Asian veggies! My request, that had also been made to the previous owner (who complained back then of declining business), similarly fell on deaf ears.

I mostly stopped patronizing this restaurant when I recognized that I was gluten sensitive and they do not use gluten free soy sauce. Soy sauce is necessary for the whole fish in hot sauce, one authentic dish, that I loved!

To be fair, the service was always wonderful, but a restaurant needs to serve good or great food. ...

The manager/owner made a mistake with my order, and instead of fixing it, he told me that I can come by anytime and pay for what I ordered. Initially, I inquired if the General Tso's Chicken can be made into a combination; he stated no, that it only came with rice and soup. I asked if I could have fried rice; he said fried or steamed, but repeated no substitutions were allowed. I said that's fine, I would like to have the General Tso's Chicken, Fried rice, and egg roll. He said okay, I paid for my order, got my food and left. I get to my desk, open the food, only to realize that I given JUST the General Tso's Chicken. I called and explained what happened, was told that substitutions weren't allowed (no, really? I already know and acknowledged that substitutions weren't allowed), and that I only paid for just the chicken. After repeating that I understood no substitutions were allowed WHILE AT THE RESTAURANT, I was told it was misunderstanding, that he didn't hear me, and that I could come back and pay for what I wanted in my initial order. The fact that he misunderstood me and did not hear me (which is an all out lie) is not my fault, and I shouldn't have to pay for it WHEN I MADE IT CLEAR THAT I WOULD PAY FOR WHATEVER. What's interesting is that I've been there before and was never treated in such a manner. Suffice it to say, I don't think I will...

I rarely post the reviews because I’m busy. however,I want to say something about this restaurant. It was a good restaurant. But they recently changed the owner and the new owner is arrogant and know nothing about how to run a restaurant. I guess if you are a regular customer; most likely you will agree with me.And if you are a new customer, you make your decision. but honestly it doesn’t taste as good as it used to be anymore. I think it’s time for me to looking for a new restaurant. Most importantly, if the owner doesn’t care about their customers. how do you expect they provide food was good quality? I sincerely don’t think the owner cares about the customers at all.if you read the most recent reviews mostly are from regular customers complaining about the new owner and then you can tell how big the difference is right now. it’s not just about delaying your carry out order or being arrogant being rude to your customer. it’s all about if you are in the food service industry and you don’t care about your customers.at the first place you should not involved in the food service industry at all. I think the new owner is slowly consuming the 30 years of reputation from this restaurant and all he cares about is money money and money....
