Moby Dick House of Kabob — Restaurant in Maryland

After being a loyal customer for over a decade, I was extremely disappointed by the service I received today. I placed an order through the app, but it was incorrect— the wrong salad dressing was included, and tomatoes were missing from the kubideh. When I called to address the issue, instead of receiving an apology or a resolution, the associate on the phone informed me that the manager, Jimmy, suggested I return in two months to pick up the correct salad dressing. This response came across as dismissive and unprofessional.

To make matters worse, the associate accused me of lying about the order, claiming that the item wasn’t even available on the app. As a customer who has supported this business consistently for years, often ordering weekly, I found this interaction not only frustrating but also deeply disrespectful.

I saw this company transformation from one small carry out spot in DC to large restaurant chain, I still taste the first bite I took in Georgetown they only had 2 tables to sit and eat lunch but food was amazing, 2 person kitchen did the magic, but with growth in mind, they became good kabob place to go to, but unfortunate reality is like with most of large chain restaurants, they got sloppy, I ordered Combo, chicken and koobideh with rice, and of course it come with tanduri type bread, Chicken is always good, koobideh was hard cold dry and undercooked, bread flower is very rubbery, overall very very disappointing. I’ve been bringing friends and family to this location for a few years now. Lately though, something’s changed. I don’t think I’ll be going back. The food seems like an American version of Persian food and it’s gotten quite expensive. I spent $30 for a platter with two skewers of chicken and rice and a side salad. When I asked for some extra cucumbers for the salad, the manager told me he gave me extra. But there were only two slices on the salad. Oh it only comes with one slice, he said he gave me one extra.
