The Newark Farmers market is a must stop place whether I'm going to New York or home from New York because it's about 5 minutes off the highway and is a real farmers market like the kind they had when I was a kid! Large selection of fruits vegetables Asian food Spanish food and Indian food! The prices are really good and despite the less than pristine appearance that you would find in a modern supermarket it's a really great place to shop. So now you know my secret stop off when I'm commuting back and forth from New York. Read moreThis shopping center has a good variety of stores and shops... Harris Teeters, banks, pilates, restaurants Grillmarx, Green Turtle, Sol Azteca and a new place I haven't tried yet, and more. There is an area of small fountains in which kids run around in, in the summer. This center has seen an occasional flash mob, which is fun. I don't care for the wine at all in the Winery, but I've seen live music there on the weekends, and people seem to enjoy it. It's nice to have a social place that's comfortable and not like a busy bar scene, and The Winery seems to fill that need. If My Eye Doctor is still there...try elsewhere.
