The first time I went I was with a group. All fair skinned people. We got our beers and had a good time. I went Friday with my boyfriend who has tanner skin and the experience was bad, very rude and standoffish.. The guy we were ordering from gave me and attitude when I asked for a flight "how many" i didnt realize there were different sizes and i asked him what he meant and he snapped "i asked how many, like how many samples... you know 3 or 5." I ignored it and as i was telling him which beers he walked away (i thought maybe to grab the first two I ordered) but he instead went to the sink and started washing his hands and signaled for his buddy to walk over and started whisperingsomething and made a motion toward my boyfriend and I. I was sober but i wasnt sure if i was overreacting or moody or maybe just seeing things so i looked up at my boyfriend who looked just as angry as I was feeling and before i could say anything he told me to let it go. We'll just order whatever eat and leave because neither one of us wanted our night ruined. I will never go back here. It was an uncomfortable experience that i rather just avoid. When i mentioned to my cousin that this happened she told me that this was normal, next time i go just grab the beer from the fridge and dont interact with them. She is a bit tanner skinned and so is her boyfriend. Her brother who is fair skinned said he never experienced this before. I dont know if anyone else has experienced this but I dont think this is right. Customer service is important in this kind of establishment and i cant tell if the dude was just in a bad mood or what but I suggest fixing...
Read moreThis place is nasty, the kitchen is disgusting, full of all sorts of rodents and roaches and ants. The health department is watching them, inside source shared with me they were reported. They have no level of management or organization so it's surprising they haven't been shut down yet. On top of all that there food is awful, especially the greasy, rubbery and fatty cheesesteak sub, yuck our entire group threw it out it was so unedible. Entire place should be gutted from the inside to the staff, the employees are rude and very judgemental and not gay friendly, specifically Eric and Emily. Olney would be better off if they would shut this garbage can down and put a decent restaurant up with food from a clean kitchen, trained staff with good customer service skills and better beer selection. Will never step foot in this cafeteria style place, I agree with the other reviews about it feeling like a childhood cafeteria, very poor design. Eric and Emily need learn how to treat people with kindness and decency and learn basic customer service skills. I honestly have heard nothing but bad stories from friends and family about this location and the owner apparently ignores all complaints and continues to claim ignorance of anything negative brought to his attention about his store. Brew belly needs to get...
Read moreBrew Belly is a restaurant and bar with a decent sized parking lot. It has lots of TVs and makes a great place to watch sports. When you order, you have the option to either close the tab or keep it open. For beers, they have about 24 beers on tap and additional canned beers for sale. They also offer Whiskey Flights and Classic Whiskey Cocktails. For food, they serve Cheesesteaks, Pretzels, Fry Basket, Snacks and Salads, and Sausage and Dogs. My boyfriend enjoyed a pint of Abbeywood Mixtape (New England IPA) and a pint of True Respite Bright Spot (American IPA). The Abbeywood Mixtape was balanced, smooth, juicy, and hazy while the True Respite Bright Spot was bright, clean, aromatic, and citrusy. After trying the three sours on tap, I enjoyed both the Idiom Thicc As Thieves (Blueberry, Blackberry, Marshmallow Sour) and Lone Oak Farm Groove It (Pink Guava Sour). The Idiom Thicc As Thieves was thick, creamy, sweet, fruity, tart, and marshmallowy. We also shared a Brew Belly Poutine, which consisted of house cut fries loaded with cheese sauce, brown gravy, and cheddar cheese curds. It was rich, cheesy, and savory. After the sour ales, I enjoyed the Keg Cocktail: Orange Crush, which consisted of vodka, fresh squeezed orange, triple sec, and lemon-lime. It was sweet,...
