I ate here on October 27, 2019 around 5 PM. I ordered the lemon grilled chicken with rice, mango bubble tea, and flan. The guy who took my order asked if I wanted the flan now or later for dessert? I said later. The food arrived fairly quick, and the server gave me water, straw, spoon and fork, and chopsticks. She said she will bring the knife. She brought it quickly. The first thing I noticed is that the bubble tea came in a thinner plastic cup covered in some sort of Saran wrap. It was also warm. I've eaten here before and it wasn't like that before. After eating my meal, I patiently waited for my flan. I waited for 15 minutes. In that 15 minutes, nobody checked up on me and asked how I was doing? Not even during my meal. I decided to come up to the counter and politely asked for my flan. I said, "Hi I'm ready for the flan." The lady sever said it will be brought to me. I sat on my chair and waited for another 5 to 10 minutes. While waiting I see the server cleaning tables and having a conversation with the guy taking order. They were laughing. I got fed up and asked for a refund for the flan. The lady server had the audacity to suggest to have it as take out. I said, "No, I want a refund." I apologized to the guy on the counter, I said, " I'm sorry man, it just took too long." He said "Yeah yeah Yeah, sorry about that," Well at least he apologized, only after I apologized, which as a customer, I shouldn't have. Needless to say, I will NEVER eat at this pricey establishment again! I wish I never tipped them. I wanted to get a refund on my tip too but I'm not that mean. I just wanted...
Read moreThe reviews I read seem a bit overrated. While the staff of teen to 20 something’s were friendly, there was a general lack of communication and follow through. After ordering our appetizers, no one came to see how they were or if we wanted an entree. I had to ask for someone to come take our orders. The summer rolls and tofu rolls were lackluster having only lettuce some vermicelli and either tofu or shrimp with a few shreds of cucumbers. No herbs or citrus to give it punch or flavor. Bland. Entrees were lemon chicken from the grill and shaking beef. Flavor was much better in the chicken, though the lemon was missing in flavor. Served with salad type veg on the side with rice and a sweet fish sauce. Second entree was the shaking beef. Spicy with loads of red, green and jalapeño peppers over lettuce and cucumbers and tomato slices. Rice on the side. Food was ok but lacked something to set it apart from any other chicken or beef from a Chinese or Thai takeout. Thai iced tea is from one of those machines that uses plastic cups with automatic plastic sealed for a lid. I wish I’d known before getting a plastic cup of water and the Thai tea as such. I’m over the single use plastics and would not order a drink from this restaurant again for that reason alone. The tea was good but not great. Good in a pinch but not a go to...
Read more"Here's your grilled....whatever" the waitress said to us as she rushes away leaving me and my wife's order at the very end of a set of long tables. We had conjoined tables being a party of 6, my wife and I are on the opposite side as the food. Our friends have to pick up our plates and pass them down the line. It would have cost our waitress two more steps..how do I even know my grilled whatever is what I ordered?! My mother wanted some more tea and there was no one around to help for 15 min. The short staffed restaurant employee that's eating near us then loudly exclaims at another "what do you want me to do, I'm on break". This is in front of all the customers.
Unprofessional. Under staffed. Rude. To top it all off we split the check and when asked why we didn't get 10% off because we paid in cash...the employee said the manager made it so you can't get 10% off if you split the bill. How about YOU separate the bill and we pay separately?
It's all down...
