They overcharge from their listed prices and what they tell you they are going to charge you, and they try to make fun of you if you challenge them on it. I was told when I ordered through drive through what my price was going to be with tax. I got my receipt back and it was 4% more (including 4% on the tax). When I asked I was pointed to a little sign on the drive through window that they will give a 4% DISCOUNT to those paying cash. I said I'm not asking for a discount, you need to only charge what you told me you would. That person said she just started working there and I would need to come in to talk to others. The first person I spoke with was running the cash register and she plainly relied upon the discount notice on the window. I said discount means you are going to reduce the price listed if they pay cash, not add if they pay by credit card and that you need to tell me you are going to charge more than what you said when you take my credit card. The manager came over and said the same thing and when I replied with the same his response was, twice, "so you are arguing over 30 cents?" as if they steal a little I should drive away and let them. I said well you are arguing over 30 cents, and no I'm arguing that you charged more than your prices listed and what you told me over the speaker you were going to charge me, whatever the amount is. Abelrado's, I've been a regular customer of yours for years. You lost me and everyone I convince to not come to your establishment over this silly unethical scheme. You want to encourage people to use cash and not be unethical - list your regular prices with a sign that says the customer gets a 4% discount at the window if they pay cash. Everyone reading - go to Lina's down 90th street. Just as good of food and they don't...
Read moreWe had a midnight craving and thought we'd drive across town to check them out since they were advertised as 24 hours. Their menu is quite extensive. I ordered the Nebraska and Arizona burritos. My husband ordered a sausage and egg breakfast burrito. We parked nearby to eat. The burritos were huge and hot. When we unwrapped them and bit into them, it was obvious the tortillas were hand made.
I started with the Nebraska. It was awesome. Unfortunately, after a few excellent bites of his burrito, my husband bit into a raw potato. Turned out all the potatoes in his burrito were nearly raw. I went ahead and tried the Arizona just in case. Turned out the potatoes in it were largely under cooked as well. Since we were still nearby, we went back to ask them to cook the potatoes thru. They weren't happy, but they did it. We thought. My husband's breakfast burrito was great. But it wasn't until after we got home that I found the potatoes in the Arizona were still too uncooked to eat. I will have to cook it thru later.
Perhaps during the day this is not a common problem. Just have to avoid ordering anything with potatoes in...
Read moreThe drive thru lady was pretty rude tonight and messed up my order. She made my horchata but didn’t give it to me until I asked and she asked me twice if I needed sauce, to which I said pico and hot sauce but only got pico. The fried tacos were hard as a rock and my burrito wasn’t supposed to have beans. I called and told her and asked if I needed to bring the food back or if I could just throw it away before coming back up there and was told I had to bring it back. I got to the menu and told her I just called and she said pull up to the window and was just shaking her head and laughing talking to the kitchen staff. When I tried to give her the food back she told me to keep it. She also only gave me the fried tacos and not my burrito. The burrito I did finally get had old hard meat and tasted like there was chemicals or something else in it!!! The food is never very consistent but this was by far the worst experience ever! I won’t be...
