El Sultan Food Truck — Restaurant in Omaha

I genuinely do not like to leave negative reviews but I felt this experience was noteworthy. My wife and I have been trying out different food trucks we intend to use for an upcoming event. We called El Sultan to confirm the location and their hours. We confirmed the location and were told they would be open until 2AM so we said we were on our way. When we got to the location around 6PM the open sign was out and the window was open. We waited about 15 minutes when someone from the business the food truck was at came out and said the person running the food truck went out to get restaurant supplies and would be back in around 30 minutes. Not ideal but not the end of the world so we waited. In about 40-45 minutes someone came back and started unloading items while blaring loud music with a great deal of profanity. We continued to wait but we were ignored while we waited at the window so finally decided to take off. Ultimately, this was a very poor experience. I forgot to take a picture because I was too busy inhaling the food 😅 Falafel is insane, first time having it and it’s so flavorful with a beautiful crunch, the fries are awesome and crispy with secret spice mix dusted on top, that paired with the garlic sauce is top notch. The humus is out of this world with flavor, the pomegranate dressing on the salad is so refreshing, especially when you pair that with the Gyro meat over some of the best white rice I’ve ever had. Dessert was a piece of warmed baklava and let me tell you, that stuff broke my charts. It was so delicious. All that on TOP of great service? You can’t beat it. I can't say enough good things about this place! For a food truck, I was pleasantly surprised and very impressed! The fries were chefs kiss, with the perfect amount of seasoning, cooked just right with crisp on the outside but not overdone and dry on the inside, and were soooo good. The gyro plate was incredible, as was the baklava. A.K. was the gentleman that helped us, and was so friendly and knowledgeable....
