Long John Silver's — Restaurant in Omaha

When we walked in, their was no one greeting us to order. A staff member came out of the back area to take our order. He looked tired and unkept. Had to ask for another pop container as we were a party of two, & only given one. He went in back & didn't seem to be able to find replacements. The staff said he just got back from vacation and didn't know where things were. The location had one other female staff working. My husband ordered a beer 🍺 as they had beer glasses displayed at the counter with price. The staff said, "We don't sell beer anymore!" We got our order, and it looked like it was just thrown in a heap on our plate, nothing spectacular! They had a couple of other people eating inside, but mostly seemed like take-outs. We went to fill our pop & a large garage container was sitting near that was overflowing. Also, a tub full of dirty dishes and straw papers sitting on the side of where you went to get your pop. One customer behind us questioned the female staff as to when they stopped making their fries. The orders came with waffle fries & looked nothing like the pictures displayed on the menu board. The staff didn't really have much of an answer at 1st and said, "I think it's been changed for a while." Then, after thinking about it, she hollowed out at a distance that they may be bringing the fries back soon. We noticed the customer got up to leave with her son & left her order uneaten at her booth. We noticed her son had used the bathroom facility earlier. The son walked back and said something quietly to his mom. When my husband used the bathroom 🚻 later, he said it wasn't very clean. We never saw a staff member while eating as they stayed in the back area conversing. It was like we were in the twilight zone! The staff didn't come out to ask how our food was, I'd we needed anything, etc. The food was left on the table from the customer behind us, who seemed disappointed with her order. The tables weren't wiped off from other customers, and it looked like the floors hadn't been swept in days. The staff didn't seem very proactive while we were there. I've been visiting this location constantly for years This evening I went in at 7: 11pm 6/24/2022 The staff locked the door after us telling other people outside the dining room is closed they would have to go through the drive-thru I have never had such horrible food at a Long John silver's in my life The countertop next to the cash register was loaded with staff members food and drinks. We were told that they were making no more rice for the evening and the only hush puppies they would be serving were the ones that were in the warmer they would not be making any more for the rest of the night By 7:25 p.m. more than six different people had showed up at the front door and were denied and told to go through the drive-thru, when the sign on the door States dining room closes at 8:00 p.m. Like I stated earlier the chicken was extremely dry the fish was cold and greasy never again will I visit this location I only hope that one of the other Long John silver's is owned by a different person or company and if they hold their staff to a higher accountability of good food and...

Fantastic all around. Clean restaurant with professional, friendly, and welcoming service. The place even has a sign up that says leave the trays on the tables because they will clean them for you. However the restaurant but does not solicit tips at the register unlike most that do not clean your tables.

The food is the true star. I ordered the fish and chicken platter consisting of 2 pieces of fish and 3 pieces of chicken. The meal was made fresh to order and came out juicy and hot. The fish was delicate and delicious as was the chicken. The fish was not over battered. Hard to say which one was better as they were both outstanding. I had the coleslaw and waffle fries. The coleslaw tastes fresh and is the only think I dip the chicken in. The waffle fries must be new and they beat the bad and tasteless fries LJS had for years.
