Just had the most strange and hostile interaction with the staff at this McDonald's. A very simple misunderstanding lead to multiple staff members becoming extremely argumentative and hostile to me and another guest.
So I'm in town temporarily and the hotel has legitimately useless internet, so to work, I headed to this McDonald's exactly two times, to buy a meal and use their wifi until they closed. I knew they closed at 11 PM (says it on Google) so on my first day working in the lobby, I left before 11 PM, but I accidentally left my phone charger behind. I called them at 11:16 PM to ask if I left it and if it could be picked up, and a nice lady said the lobby didn't close til midnight and I could swing by. Great interaction there.
Fast forward to tonight, I come in to work on my laptop again (bought a meal, again) but this time I stay past 11 PM because I was under the understanding that the lobby closed at midnight, which is what an employee told me. The staff somehow didn't notice me sitting in the lobby typing away until my friend, who was there to pick me up, walked in and asked to buy a drink. His direct quote was "hey, can I just have a drink, my friend is working here."
I heard this, and I called my friend "a dummy" because the way he phrased it, made it sound like he wants a drink because his friend is a McDonald's employee whereas i was working on my laptop in the lobby. The McDonald's employee he was talking to, heard this, and I guess thought I was calling him a dummy, because he became incredibly rude and disrespectful to us for a quite comical and simple misunderstanding. We tried to explain this to him cuz it was very clear, but we were only insulted further, saying we couldn't read the signs despite me going off what a McDonald's employee told me. And even then, I presumed an employee would've told me that they were closed, ya know, when they closed, but I guess that's too much to expect.
Just a bizarre interaction, it's not hard to understand a simple mistake, yet 2 McDonald's employees went full ballistic cuz of one. Note, I sat in the lobby for a collective 10 hours across the 2 nights, buying meals both times, without issue, it's not like I was...
Read moreThis is the worst experience I have ever had, I went thru the drive thru yesterday morning with my son we ordered a big breakfast with no pancakes, three extra hash browns, a sausage biscuit, and a dr. pepper with no ice, my order was completely screwed up getting pancakes and sausage instead of big breakfast, they completely forgot my sons breakfast which was the sausage biscuit and extra hash browns and they gave me coke instead of Dr Pepper. I called there store ( which I have the call logs to prove it on my phone) and spoke to a lady manager (can not recall her name other than she was Hispanic the name wasn’t easy to pronounce) I asked for a refund since it order was not one thing I ordered, the women agreed to give me a refund, being busy I ended up not being able to make it until the next day so I called and spoke to the manager on duty telling them I was supposed to be getting money back. The man proceeded to ask me if I had my receipt, I told him I did, he told me to come on up. Once I got there in the drive thru the manager told me he had called and supposedly talked to the manager whom was on duty yesterday and she never called the conversation,I showed him the call logs and receipt and he basically went on to call me a liar. This man is the man who weighs about 300 pounds, he was very disrespectful blunt ally calling me a liar when I had the receipt and call logs to prove I had called, I never ended up getting my money back, plus the man refused to even try to make it right. As far as im concerned this man deserves to be fired, he has no idea how to treat a customer, and he is extremely sloppy on top of it, barely even being able to walk he is so heavy, then calling a paying customer a liar.. I think it is all absolutely ridiculous and I have never been so mortified nor treated so badly by a restaurant on my life I will not be back to this location until things are made right by the company and until this individual is fired!! I think it’s total trash you have this individual running one of your restaurants...
Read morePlease be careful if you are going to this store. On a few occasions during my lunch break I have attempted to get lunch here. Both times I waited so long to get my meal that I didn't have time to even eat it. The last time this happened I called asking for their corporate number to call and make a complaint. The manager I spoke with, Andrew, apologized over and over again and offered to comp 2-3 meals for me and to have me call ahead so they could make sure I wasn't waiting to long for the order. The very next night I called in and spoke with Adam who knew nothing about my situation despite the fact I gave my information to Andrew and he said he would pass it on. After explaining to him Adam finally agreed to give me my meal. The next night I call in and wanted to speak with Andrew and I was told he didn't work again until Thursday night. I chose to wait and speak with Andrew because I didn't want to have to keep explaining my situation over and over again. Now Thursday night I call in and find out Andrew is now working the dinner shift and that if I want I can call and speak with Andrew tomorrow or the manager friday morning and wouldn't even give me the number for their corporate headquarters. Honestly I could care less about the meals but if I'm told that I am going to get 2 or 3 meals then that is what I expect. If you don't want to give me the meals thats fine but don't lie to me because you know you're not going to be working that shift again. I am highly upset because now on top of everything else I feel I was lied to. I will NEVER go to this location again, I WILL call corporate to let them know, and I WILL let everyone here at work and everyone else I know about my experience and let them know not to go to this location as well as post everywhere I can my experience to help anyone else avoid going through what I have...
