I am so disappointed in the service. I have been enjoying this restraunt for over 20 years. NEVER have I been treated so rudely. A friend and I met for lunch today. I was outside at 11a, waiting for them to open. Went in, got seated. I immediately order 2 of their spring rolls. My friend comes in a few minutes later dressed in business attire (this is going to be essential). She sits down. We're in the booths, halfway into the dining area and under HUGE windows. My friend asks if the air is on because it's a bit warm. The first waitress says, "I can say something but they're not going to change it." I'm thinking, well, this must be a thing. Then a different waitress comes over (found out later it's the cook (I'm assuming owner's) daughter). She asks if we need anything. My friend says, would it be possible to turn on the air. The waitress became combative, no niceties, just very bluntly, "it's set to 75. It's ALWAYS 75. That won't change". She then goes to the kitchen and VERY LOUDLY starts complaining about how we're high maintenance and no, it's not hot (she's in a T-shirt and lightweight pants). She proceeds to make rude comments about us and finally - VERY LOUDLY. Then tells the person she's talking to, "no mom, it's not hot. I have a thyroid condition and am ALWAYS hot, but I'm not hot - so it's fine". Comes out, drops ONE order of spring rolls and walks away. I ask her (to her back, because stormed off) "didn't I order 2 orders?" She just says "yeah, do you still want them. I haven't rung anything up yet, you can just leave." I assure her, we will pay for what was ordered, but yes, we'd like them to go? She then makes a big production of being fake nice while going back to the kitchen and insulting us loudly. I WILL NEVER DINE THERE AGAIN. Omaha has too many options to be...
Read moreI just got off the phone with the owner about a take out order they we purchased. We order pork spring rolls, hot & sour soup and stir fried low mein with meat and vegtables. They also had a seafood option, which I did not order because of a seafood allergy. We got home and opened up the order and the low mein had shrimp it there too. I checked the menu online to see if I made a mistake and confirmed that I had not. I called and spoke to the women that helped me check out and explained to her what happened and she told me that the same thing happened to a customer of hers tonight at the resturant. She put me on hold and the owner of the resturant got on the line. I explained to her what happened and she told me that I could come back so she could look at it and she would see what she could do. I told her that I did not want to make another trip, but I would be happy to put it in the fridge and bring it back tomorrow. All I wanted was a credit or a partial refund as the other two items were fine. She told me know that it was my responsibility to check the food before I go and the always put shrimp in the meat and vegtable option. I reminded her that the menu they have on their facebook page shows two options on with meat and one with seafood. She told me it was still my responsibility and she was not going to do anything about it. Horrible customer service and I would not trust how they make anything if they give that response to what could have been a life theatening situation. I will not risk...
Read moreThey feature Vietnam and Chinese food with a hint of Thai influence. The service was very good. The waiters pleasant and very attentive. I don't understand the other reviewers complaining about service problems. I thought the service was five stars on my visit. My guest and I ordered beef curry and Ginger Beef respectively. We also had the fresh spring rolls for an appetizer. Both of the beef dishes were tasty. They had a lot of vegetables and each dish with unique flavors though both were a bit too salty. The beef was the same low grade beef which cheap Chinese places use. The spring rolls were quite fresh they use clear rice paper and stuff them with rice, bean sprouts and shrimp. I thought these lacked flavor I wish they would have put tarragon or cilantro or other mild sweet herbs to give these spring rolls some flavor. The brown sauce that they serve with these rolls was tasty but again just too much salt. The prices are reasonable when compared to Chinese restaurants. I didn't think it was an especially excellent bargain as the food quality is not a five star rating but it is quite good.
