Tanner's Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Omaha

Very sad this place has declined because the food isn’t bad. The service is just awful and that is evident by an empty bar on a Saturday night during a Huskers game. That bar crew has zero interest in their customers. Nebraska game scheduled to start but it gets switched to another station because of overtime game on original station. They get it going on a couple of tvs eventually after customers requested it. We have a conversation about maybe getting sound as well and that is impossible because their tech is broken which is fine but instead of saying hey the sound can’t be switched or something proactive you have to ask them and by asking you are obviously annoying them because their stuff is broke. Obviously the customers fault for asking a question. At this point I am trying to bail. Settling bill finishing drinks The game then moves to the original channel and the bar staff is just standing there as the Nebraska game is now on in two versions on two channels across the bar and they are at least 30 sec off. Scheduled a birthday party over a month ago. Called today at noon to verify and told them I would be there at 5:30 to decorate. Showed up at 5:30 and the party room was occupied. Was told very rudely that they didn't have our party down and they were short staffed. I am the most laid back person and totally understand sh$t happens. We were told we could go to the other area that was blocked off but didn't know about service. We went to the bar to order drinks but was told by the bartender we couldn't come up there to order drinks. We were ordering buckets so they wouldn't be overwhelmed. She agreed to that. In the hour and a half we were there NOBODY came to even ask if we wanted to order. They had 3 waitresses and 11 tables when we left. But still nobody came to ask if we wanted to order. We called Addy's at 147th and they said to come over. We are on the patio but the waiter is literally running inside to to get us tables! So please avoid Tanner's at all costs! Go over to Addy's where your hard earned money is appreciated. I'm sad because this is our neighborhood bar. But I will never step foot in there again! Thanks...

We live blocks from this location and we frequent (weekly) the other locations and purposely not visit this one. We went ahead and thought we would make a quick stop for lunch today (6/9/17). Needless to say nothing has changed, literally ! Again today is 6/9/17 and they still have NFL football nameplates under the televisions telling you what NFL teams were to be watched on each TV. Good to know ....? They are either really excited about NFL pre-season games and already know who is playing on what TV or they (likely) have failed to pay attention to the decor after the football season. How about lets welcome CWS fans or even NBA finals. The staff has always been less accommodating at this location. This place is in somewhat located in an affluent area of the city and they need to spend money and update the worn wood floors and torn carpeting throughout. If this is what the newer locations in the city have to look forward to then I guess we'll patronize other sports bars in the Omaha area. This is the last time I will visit the...
