Tiger Tom's Pub — Restaurant in Omaha

We were visiting from out of town last weekend and thought this place looked good. When we walked in (this being me, my husband, our toddler and baby) nobody greeted us at first then the woman behind the bar said we could sit anywhere, but said it kind of like she was laughing at us. I was confused by that but not bothered yet. We chose to sit outside. It was not busy...one table inside and a few people at the bar and one other table outside. We waited for a while, over 5 minutes I would guess, before a lady came and didn't even give us a greeting, just said "what are yall drinking?" And we gave her our order of waters, this being before we had menus to look over their alcohol options. As she was walking away, she asked if we needed menus and we said yes. When she came back, she didn't say a word and just set our drinks and menus down and helped the other table. Before she went inside, I got her attention and asked if they had a kids menu and she said, "no, we don't have a kids menu. We're a bar and grill." I was confused by that because I've been to many restaurants, local and chain, that have called themselves a bar and grill but still offered a kids menu. My husband and I talked and realized they probably don't like serving kids, and by her "do you need menus" question, probably prefer only serving regulars. We still waited a few minutes but when she didn't come back after a bit, we ultimately decided to leave since we didn't feel welcome there. The server was not friendly and was rude in everything she said to us. Funny enough, we found another bar and grill and lo and behold, not only did they have a kids menu, but they were serving another family there with children and the server who was working by herself was extremely friendly and got a great tip from us. Tiger Tom's missed out! Their "Welcome All" sign is very misleading....more like "Locals and...

Food was great!! Our server not so much! She was rude and short with us. We got there and table was dirty (no biggie). I asked her politely to wipe it off she never came back so I had to ask another server to do it. That server ended up also bringing our food and our to go box. Only thing our server brought was drinks and the bill and was short and not interested in making sure our first time there was as pleasant as we hoped. I get it people have bad days but do your best not to let it show while you're in front of the customers. I'll be back to Tiger Tom's but I hope she's not our server again. When we left we tipped the other server because she was extremely pleasant shared a smile with us and made our visit end on a better note! We had a burger, tenderloin and boneless wings which were all so yummy! Fries could've cooked a tad longer they were limpy but the onion rings were delightful! So were the mozzarella sticks!! Two thumbs up on food and 1 thumbs...

We had a nice experience at Tiger Tom’s. The vibes were immaculate. Type of place where most of the people are regulars and all have a camaraderie about them. The service was friendly. We attended for the tenderloin trail. The tenderloin was good, really enjoyed the breading. The flavor was kinda lacking. It came with fries that were solid crinkle cut fries. They have free popcorn which is a nice touch. Seems like a place that would be great to watch a game at or just go for a happy hour with friends. Will be back...
