The golfing games were Cool but the service was very subpar the upper level had plenty of bays open I asked the first attendant and a manager to put us maybe not right next to other people especially inexperienced golfers they denied my request put me by party of six very unexperienced young teenagers who were messing around and almost hit my son on two occasions because of their inexperience . I would’ve stayed much longer if the staff would’ve been more accommodating. The people who checked me in didn’t tell me which bay to go into and just told me to go upstairs and when I went upstairs I was greeted by a half rude attendant who told me I couldn’t golf at the bay that I was standing at. If topgolf Omaha would get their customer service in line with their amenities then I’m sure my experience would’ve been much better. Because of that I doubt I will be back to that location and will instead try out XGolf. Which very well may be owned by the same people but nonetheless customer service needs to improve overall especially from a managerial standpoint. If you don’t mind bad customer service for managers and Young attendants at the entrance Who are more worried about texting on their phone than accommodating their customers then maybe this place will work better for you than it did for me . Then again as a black man in America at most places it’s hard to get the respect that you deserve even when you’re spending your money. Maybe it would’ve made a difference if I was a corporate color then again maybe it’s just a lack of training and sincere customer service overall. Read moreTopgolf is way overpriced Horrible experience! Rented two bays for my birthday party last month. I had to purchase minimum of $200 in food. Which I did not want since going out to dinner with friends prior to arriving. I was reassured that I could take food home since we would not be eating it. The gal that was assigned to take care of us didn’t explain very well how to play since our first time and when we asked it took awhile, which took out of the time I was paying for. The gal was also pushing on drinks my friends did not want and kept saying she needed to win a contest they were doing. Drinks were not very cold. Half way through a manager had to come over and take away my time from friends and golf to go over bill again which I had to do before arriving. I had to sign this very lengthy contract and initial while putting a deposit down. So I’m very aware of the total I needed to pay. This was unnecessary! We barely ate any of the food and had to ask for boxes. Afterwards we had to go over contract and bill again to settle up. After that we went to box up the food and it was GONE! I went to find someone to find out where all my food was and couldn’t find our gal anywhere. Found another employee who said they threw the food away. I was furious! What a waste! I was reassured I could take it home several times. Paid for food I didn’t even eat! Topgolf sent me an email to give them a review. So I let them know how upset I was and how I didn’t not get food I paid for. Lucia called me and said they appreciated the review and will send out a $50 gift certificate to use on whatever I want. That does not come close on covering the $200 I paid just in food. I get the gift certificate and it clearly states on it that $50 can only use towards golf nothing else. Unbelievable! Read moreWe showed up and they said it would be a 30min wait. We sat in the general area waiting for the text that the bay is ready. While waiting we noticed that the whole first level was 'closed'. We also noticed all of the tables in the waiting area were dirty from crumbs and split drinks from the previous night. There was an employee outside cleaning tables on the patio, which didn't make much sense considering it's February and it hasn't been nice enough to sit outside in months.
I also noticed while waiting that there were multiple employees standing behind the greeting desk, and some walking around doing nothing. After 30min of waiting and no text, I went up to the front desk and asked how much longer our wait would be. They told me 50min. I asked why there were so many open bays and such a long wait.
They said that they are short staffed and only half of the second level bays were open today. I found this interesting considering the amount of employees walking around and doing mundane tasks like cleaning outside tables. He also said that they should be getting a wave of employees and will be opening the first level at 10:30. When we looked at the time and realized it was already 10:45 he said 'well I'm not sure what is going on'.
This is not the first time that I have walked into this Top Golf with multiple bays open, waited for the presented wait time, and then left without even hitting a ball because the wait time triple the time they said it would be. I used to be able to make a reservation without paying upfront, and without selecting an amount of time. Now they make you pay half up front, and they force you to reserve it for 2 hours. 2 hours is often too long for just two people.
