I plan on coming up to visit my daughter at UW LACROSSE quite a bit this year. I have been trying different hotels in the area, and for me this is the right fit. It is not a major luxury hotel, but I'm not a major luxury guy. It is, in my opinion, clean and welcoming, which is something that is important to me...and it is also very comfortable. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate. Considering the time we are living in, when people are often understaffed and overworked, I found staff to be intelligent, kind, and patient. This seems rare to me in an industry where customers can be overly demanding. I posted a bunch of pictures to show the inside of the rooms, as well as the lobby, and outside of the hotel. As I mentioned earlier, I plan on visiting Lacrosse often over the next few years, and at this time I plan on scheduling my hotel stays here at Stoney Creek. I am guessing due to staffing and perhaps environmental issues, they do not automatically clean your room unless you plan on staying more than three consecutive nights, but you can ask the front desk for anything. So if you want more tp or towels you can get it, but you have to ask. If you are kind and patient with the front desk, they will be kind and patient with you. This has been my experience from multiple stays. The AC works well, the beds are comfortable and loaded with pillows. There is a microwave and a fridge. They have a single serve coffee maker in the room...and laundry machines are in a side room in the hallway. They have a pool but I didn't use it. They serve a delicious, but humble breakfast each morning from about 6:30 am to 9:00 or so. I had scrambled eggs and biscuits and gravy during my last visit. It has felt like a comfortable stay away from home each night I stayed there. Location is amazing...many restaurants and stores nearby on highway 16. Famous Dave's BBQ, Texas Roadhouse, Milwaukee Burger Company, Wendy's, Huhot, Perkins, Hobby Lobby, Kohl's, Skechers, Ross Dress for Less, Chick FIL A, Target, Pet Smart, and more, including many Kwik Trip locations!!! I plan on going back this week, so... maybe I'll see you there.

Large hotel/conference center decked out in that rustic, old time cabin feel. From the stone facade fireplace with its welcoming fire as one enters to the split wood stacked along side of it. From the vaulted beamed ceiling to the stripped wood railings on the stairs and on the second floor landing. From the granite slate tile to the autumn colors carpet, to the leather couches to the rough wood chairs and fixtures. From all the framed farm chic to the many farm implements decorating the walls to the outdoor fireplace and life size moose standing in a reedy pond greeting all that entered in. The theme continues throughout the facility, to the indoor/outdoor pool and larger than normal hot tub, to the laid back, homespun breakfast area to the lodge themed rooms. Our room was large with a comfortable king size bed, woodsy furniture and decor, vaulted ceiling with a hanging fan/light, mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker and free WI FI and cable tv. Bathroom was equally decorated with wood looking planked flooring, strong water pressure with massage setting shower head, plenty of towels and toiletries. Breakfast was a complete continental spread with a hot buffet of scrambled eggs, sausages, breakfast potatoes, various fruit, oatmeal packets and instant made pancakes. There was a choice of white bread, organic sprouted grain bread, croissants, plain and blueberry bagels and doughnut holes. Coffee and juice. Loved the toasted organic sprouted grain bread and the doughnut holes. Was pleasantly surprised with the odd deformed pancakes which were very tasty. Our greatest blessing was meeting the breakfast attendant Kathy and walking away from one of those once in a lifetime moments. In the short time we had with her, we felt like family and that it was her pleasure to meet and serve us. We definitely felt it was ours. She is truly an exceptional employee. Along with the rest of the staff that were friendly and accommodating. Thanks for such a wonderful experience at staying a hotel.

I'm going to keep this factual in order to be as accurate as possible with my review. 6:30 pm: Checked in to the hotel. There was a couple speaking to the girl at the front desk and they seem agitated. I didn't catch what it was about and didn't pay attention to the conversation. 8:00 pm: Turn on the shower to clean up after a long day. The water never heats up. 8:15 pm: Ask the front desk about the cold water. The girl at the front desk tells me the hot water heater has been broken all day. She did not inform me of this when I checked in. There is an electrician on site fixing the problem. 8:45 pm: Check the water and it is still cold. Call down to the front desk and am told the electrician fixed the problem and is waiting for the water to heat up before leaving. 9:45 pm: Water is still cold. Walk down to the front desk again and am told everything is fixed but it will take a while for the water to heat up. I mention that it has been over an hour and the water is the same temp as it was earlier. Front desk girl tells me that it will be hot by morning. 10:30 pm: Go to bed gross and unshowered 5:30 am: Water is somehow even colder than the night before. Problem is not solved and I get to work a full day without a hot shower. Take a brief cold shower and try not to wake up other guests by swearing too loudly. 6:30 am: Check out and cancel my next two nights there. Breakfast is out in the dining area and I am left wondering how the staff made breakfast with no hot water. I'm wondering how they are washing their hands and the dishes as I drive past the Hampton I will be moving to tonight. Also, -there was trash left in the room -the light on the desk wouldn't turn on -the shower was moldy and the shower head was gross -the door lock was missing pieces -the nightstand had a sticky residue on it from a sticker that was mostly peeled off

We were in town for Cornfest for the softball tournament, we did this last year and loved it so we thought we would do it again... not ever again. saturday we came back to the hotel because we had a 4 hr time in between games and we were going to let our 9 yr old swim. we get up to our suite and our key didn't work. my fiance and I thought no big deal it happens, so i went to get another pair of keys, had to wait because there was one lady on the front desk and two wedding parties there, on top of people calling on the phone, finally got our new keys, walk all the way to the other side of hotel and the new keys did not work. Im getting upset at this point due to having a 9yr old, a teething 5 month old, and a 6 month old puppy just sitting in the hallway. i go back down to desk and the lady gets me a new key. these ones dont work either. and this point im over it. i call the front desk and someone comes up and still cant get it to work, so she says she has to call maintenance to come figure out the problem. because the guy was not there but at home, we had to wait outside of our room until he was done, we had to eat our pizza that we had ordered outside in a little waiting area. it took them 2 1/2 hrs before we could finally get back into our room, as my 5 month old is screaming and my 9 yr old is upset because we had not time to swim. and nothing was done about it but two stuffed animals for our kids and some caramel corn. the lady at the front desk was very apologetic and so was the maintenance guy so that is why you are getting two stars, for those two great workers. and as for the parking. ABSOLUTELY terrible. the bass pro fishers were there this weekend as well, and all brought their boats. well they decided they could park how ever they wanted and took up two to three stalls for one boat! and with their big trucks they took up two spots as well, when they didn't need too. my fiance expressed his frustration to the front desk because there was no reason why they couldnt park their boats in the parking ramp due to them getting there on friday and not using their boats until sunday afternoon. the front desk response to his frustration was-" well there here for the week so..." pretty much stating their more valuable than you. And that is fine we will take our $720.00 we paid to stay...

I’m really disappointed with my stay at Stoney Creek. I had to travel out of town for work and was looking for a quiet, relaxing place to stay as it was just a short, one night stay. First, the pool and hot tub were both closed. Which would have been a deal breaker for me originally, had I known, as I chose this hotel over another due to the hot tub as I looked forward to relaxing in it after my long work day, followed by a 3 hours drive. I was also disappointed with the cleanliness of the room, as there was dark black hairs everywhere from the bed to the bathroom. I also had a neighbor above me, whose TV I could hear and who sounded like was stomping even with the hotel room’s fan and a personal fan I brought, running. After finally falling asleep much later than I had hoped, due to the noise around me, the fire alarm BLARES at 1:45AM not once, but 2 separate times, when mind you, I have a very early and long day of work ahead. I was very upset as this surly woke up even the deepest of sleepers in the hotel during my stay, not to mention the absolute panic and fright it caused me to wake up from a deep sleep in a strange place, thinking there was a fire. I quickly put on my shoes to run down to the front desk to see what was going on to which the receptionist responded “It’s a false alarm” as 2 other guest also walked toward her to see what was going on. I said “oh? okay. Well, I’m not upset with you, I know it’s not your fault but that is really unacceptable.” And she said “I turned it off. I just work here from 11pm-7am” and I said “okay. Is the alarm going to go off again?” And she said “I’m not sure, but there’s nothing I can do about it if it does” In a very rude tone. I understand she is just an employee here and it was a false fire alarm, but this is absolutely unacceptable and her tone/ response was not appreciated. I am so extremely disappointed as I was willing to look past the other flaws I felt this place had, but the fire alarm and the poor customer service was my last straw. I would not ever stay here again and I would not recommend this hotel to...
