I've been contemplating on writing review, but it's really been bugging me. A couple weeks ago my partner and I came an hour before close (we had prior appointments and made plans to go to Mini Boba after but didn't think it would last a couple hours). We expected to order some food and drinks, but when we got there and asked if they had some of the food items we had listed to them, they said that they ran out...Based off of mine and my partners judgement, it seemed like she was lying. Coming from someone who has worked in the food Industry, even if you close within 5-10 minutes, we still had to make and serve our customers. If they just didn't want to make it and had told us, then we would've completely understood, but with having a drink and deli establishment, there should be some honesty coming from within. Maybe I missed a sign about them not taking food orders an hour before close, but we were never told that they don't take food orders an hour prior to closing also. Like I said, I hope my partner and I was just trippin on our judgment that day, but I hope there'll be some more transparency from now on, if not, a heads up to newcomers that they don't take any food orders an hour before closing.
Reply to Mini Boba Manager's response: I don't know how to properly reply back on Google review, but to preface we wanted papaya since we have ordered papaya there before, but was promptly told by you guys that you guys had ran out. I have no ill-intent towards Mini Boba, but if you guys actually did run out I understand. On the contrary, if you guys truthfully and genuinely just didn't want to make it, I believe your customers will understand if you were to tell them. I don't remember exactly what day we came in, but we came in around...
Read moreI was so excited to find out there was going to not only be a local boba shop opening up nearby, but one that included a deli with an array of dishes from red curry to Hmong sausage and sticky rice to fried sesame balls (my favorite) filled with ube.
This small hole in the wall is the perfect stop for delicious food that has both quality and quantity ingredients that range with spice and herbs you do not get enough of in this area. And the staff and owners are so patient and accommodating when and if you have any questions about a dish.
If I was going to make any critique, I wish the sesame balls had more filling, but they are still absolutely amazing. I also hope that eventually customers with dietary restrictions or those that are not spice tolerant can call in ahead to make a special request.
No matter what though, I cannot wait to...
Read more2023: This place is so good! I've only been here a couple of times but each time the staff has been really nice! He will answer a million questions and give recommendations (which have all been delicious!). Pictured is the mango fruit tea with mango popping boba and the coffee brown sugar milk tea with tapioca pearls and cheese foam. It sounds weird, but it's delicious trust me! It reminds me of a salted caramel flavor. There are lots of other options too if that's not your jam! Just stop in and try it, you won't regret it 😁❤️
Update 5/13/25: two years later and I still love this place. They have specialty drinks that I have yet to try, but I'm looking...
