This isn’t authentic hawaiian, more like one of those teriyaki places. Seriously you’re selling malasadas? RIP OFF!… basically dough that’s soaked in oil. You can barely taste it because there’s too much oil in the dough. I bet the oil wasn’t the right temperature when they fried the dough. Malasadas were greasy and chewy instead of fluffy. Kalua pork was dry, very dry and salty. Can’t even eat it. Your Mochi chicken is way over fried and greasy. I’m not sure if this place is frying their food on a low temp cooking oil. Their fried food is just greasy, oily and nasty to eat. BBQ Chicken was not appetizing to eat, taste, too much MSG from the marinade they’re using. I can’t believe I spend $60 in this place....
Read moreLots of construction/ office workers so it was pretty busy. I got the two meat combo ($15.95) with chicken katsu and bbq chicken which came with a side of white rice and macaroni salad. I also got a side of spam musubi ($6.25).
The wait time was not long and they had a good amount of seating. The portions were a good size and the katsu was crispy and not too thin. The bbq chicken was moist and not too salty. The macaroni salad was not too heavy on the mayo. The spam musubi was fine, not heavy on the rice and the spam was thickly sliced.
