Captain D's — Restaurant in Opelika

Probably the worst fish and hush puppies I’ve ever had from a captain d’s. Both pieces of fish were the size of the one pictured, and no, fish does not fill all of that. The actual fish part was no wider than my thumb on one end and then no wider than my pinky on the other. The first piece, which I ate and hope I don’t get sick, had a slightly fishy taste and had the texture of rubber on the inside and was oddly hard on the outside. This piece of fish, which I refuse to eat, smells the same and feels the same. It’s weirdly dark for a white fish as well. The hush puppies had the strangest texture. It’s like they were cooked juuuust enough but also not mixed well at all so when I bit into them they just crumbled. Half my fries are ice cold while the other half are warm. The only decent thing about this meal was my coleslaw.

It’s seriously like they had food sitting there and nuked it in a microwave and gave it to me. Truly awful. On top of that, the workers weren’t rude, but they have no idea how to serve customers. I walked in and the lady walked up and just looked at me. No greeting nothing. When I said I was there to pick up an online order, she just said, “it’s not ready” and started walking off. One of the cooks wiped his GLOVED HANDS on his jeans and then proceeded to cook and touch things. What is the point of putting gloves on if you’re just going to wipe them on your jeans?! No, if you touch something that isn’t food with gloves, you remove those gloves, wash your hands, and put new gloves on. Hello! Food safety?!

I will be calling up to the store first thing to get a refund because I couldn’t even finish my meal because it was so gross. Truly...

The food was great hot the gentleman behind the counter was very polite and extended being professional.The cashier was rude and unprofessional and I almost said something but hunger won.The condiment bar was filthy.They were busy but it wouldn't have hurt anything for someone to come out and wipe it down just takes less than 5 minutes.The tea ran out and customers had to ask for it to be refilled.Hence pay more attention to your condiment and drinks bar .But Over all will be back .Just hoping for a more friendly professional cashier.Good food hot delicious . I would have given it a 5 except for the rude unprofessional cashier and the dirty condiment...

Purchased $71 worth of food here the fish was raw and the okra was dry they even forgot my fries. Called to tell manager about the raw fish and they told me to bring it back i got there after driving 45 minutes from my home for them not to replace my whole meal they only gave me 10 peices of fish didnt care about my missing fries. And they tried to make it seem like it was my fault the fish was raw. Also they changed the fish from alaskain pollok to Swai without telling me.
