first off, over 1/2 of the tables were dirty with dishes sitting on them. Waitresses were sitting at the side bar when we came in. i thought maybe they'd been slammed, and just got a little break, but that break should come after making the place look presentable. then a table was cleaned after waiting for 10 mins. one table was cleaned off with an attitude like she was ill at us for coming in. we sat, said coffee please, she walked away to talk with employees about some work and non work related things. after about 5 mins of her not taking another table any food, (and there were only 2 other tables being used with 1 person sitting at high bar as well) not checking for drink refills, not cleaning any odd the numerous tables and spots at bars that were dirty, she comes back to us. we once again ordered coffee and our food. our food came shortly and that's when we realized that we still had no drinks. and my food was incorrect. asked for coffee again. no apology, really no response to anything we said to her, just a sour sullen ill attitude. we finish our food, go to pay, see that we ate being charged for the drinks that asked for multiple times and didn't receive. we tried to explain to the server at checkout, whose personality was just as bright and inviting as the one who was supposed to serve us, when she cut me off 5 seconds in with a corrected price and much disdain. no apology, hope that we're still gonna try again another night, an offer for a to go cup, nothing. only an attitude with an eye roll, like i was a bad customer for trying to be informative of poor service. i asked to speak to manager, she questioned why i needed a manager beside she didn't charge me for anything to drink. we asked again, she returned with the cook, explaining to her with a lot of attitude that she didn't charge us for any drink when we didn't get a drink but were still upset. we informed politely the situation with drinks and how we expect something other than attitude about it, that from the beginning of our experience, we have utterly regretted stopping here, and the servers don't care about the customers and show it clearly. she apologised for any issues we've had, offered to go drinks, stated she wasn't really a manager but the manager would be informed. the cook was a million times more accommodating to the customer than the server paid to take care of customers. i thanked her for understanding, told her i wanted nothing other than to inform the staff that some retraining was in order, and left without tipping. i am thinking of calling the gm today to make aware of the need for new faces. food was good...
Read moreI visited this Waffle House today around 12 when I entered I was not greeted which is ok. Most of the tables were filled 1 had glasses on it from where I’m assuming they hadn’t cleaned it. The other had food all on the floor I mean grits egg’s literally food! So I asked the waitress can someone sweep under the table. She proceeded to go over to another employee (both Caucasian) and whispered in her ear! That employee then said you better than me said it at least twice. So I’m looking like are they talking about me! So then that employee proceeded to go to another employee and whispered in her ear! Very very rude! So I stepped over and asked was it a problem they said no she sweeping it up now! At that point I didn’t want anything out that store! I don’t know if it’s because of my race or what! However it was very very rude and disrespectful to not only myself but to the customers who was in there! I proceeded to call the restaurant no answer all day I wanted a number to corporate! Those 2 employees are very rude customer service here is -0! I was so upset because how I was treated I just sat in the car for about 15 minutes trying to make light if that! Pull the surveillance you can see them whispering as in I wouldn’t there! I rather have 1 employee than a bunch or rude employees! I have been in customer service for over 20 years! Read morePulled into the Waffle House at 8:15 pm est (7:15pm CST) there was 1 car in the parking lot. There were 25+ empty parking spots. My wife and I was greeted at the passenger door of the truck. We were told "you can't park here" . My response was that we came to eat. The Waffle House employee (JAY) said "it's our policy that you can't park here because you have a trailer". I said, "the lot is empty and I am only taking up 2 spots" he stated my boss said you have to leave and walked off. Well, if two people came in two cars, they would take up 2 spots, there were 2 of us, but nothing mattered. So, I call the corporate office, while on the phone, Employee (JAY) came back to my passenger door and stressed that we were told to leave and didn't, that his boss now told him to call the police. The customer service representative on the phone said..WOW, I heard what he said. So I am supposed to be called from upper management now. This happened at 907 Fox Run Parkway in Opelika. Please share this....look at the pics..... This was the worst customer service ever....I could see if I had an 18 wheeler or even if they were busy...but really...a 6 foot trailer and I parked at an angle, so it was 2 whole spaces....I would like to see how many likes I can get on this to show Waffle House that Social Media...
