Chickchickporkpork Grill — Restaurant in Opelika

This was the worst dining experience ever. We ordered fried chicken, and all four of us felt something was wrong with it. It tasted sour (not in a normal way) and clearly wasn't fresh. We spoke to the owners (who seemed to be a couple), and they acted like there was something wrong with our taste buds. What's even funnier is that their first response was, "You've already eaten so much," as if we were begging for free food. We are a group of four, and each of us tried just one piece (we each took one bite and left it on our plates), and my husband tried another to confirm. That's why only half of the chicken was left. They insisted that the chicken was supposed to taste like that. Okay, FINE.

Then, an even worse thing happened: as we were talking, the table divider, which was a ~5 ft wooden wall, fell onto our table. Glasses broke, and water and beer spilled all over my sister's clothes (I wish I had taken a picture of the mess, but I was too concerned about checking if my sister was okay). The owner came over and said, "You guys can just go," without even asking if we were okay. No apologies. No basic sympathy at all.

I just wanna make you aware of the poor service quality, questionable food quality, and the safety issue there. We WILL NEVER COME BACK AGAIN, FOR SURE. ———————— Respond to the owners: Such a DISHONEST owner. I’d really appreciate it if you could post anything like video clips showing I ever came or complained about the short rib. I believe you have cameras there. Second, you asked us to leave. Then what did you expect me to say? My sister was covered in spilled drinks and needed to change immediately, and you thought there's something we missed so much that we wanna stay longer? It's shameful how you run your business and how you treat your customers.

(BTW, it’s truly pathetic that the owner is taking advantage of the fact that Google doesn’t allow customers to respond to owners replies. The only way to do this is to edit the original comment, which not many ppl know. Im very much a beginner when it comes to Korean food, especially authentic Korean food, however i fell in love with this restaurant on my first visit. The servers were polite and straight to business (im socially awkward so i very much appreciated that) they were quick to seat us and immediately served us water, which i also quite liked, handed out menues, and explained each table has a small call button that you can press when youre ready to order or need assistance which was super helpful. I will say due to my being unused to that type of food, i was very nervous about making an order, but i tried the takoyaki they have, and just loved it! While i have never had it before i know ill forever compare any order of them i get to this place. Absolutely fantastic tasting, definitely reccomend for anyone who likes seafood/fishy flavors. Unfortunately i dont remember the name of the main course, it was a fried chicken dish with a garlic type sauce and sesame seeds/peanuts crushed on top. It was heavenly, fried perfectly crisp and the sauce had a sweet rich flavor. I look forward to going back and hopefully learning more about the foods served, so i can explore all the unique and undoubtedly great foods on their menu. 10/10, will absolutely be dining there again and reccomending to everyone i know!! 💖😍

I've dined at Chickchickporkpork Grill, a Korean restaurant, numerous times and each visit has been an absolute delight. The highlight of my experiences here has undoubtedly been the food. The Kimchi Fried Rice bursts with flavors that are both authentic and tantalizing, making every bite a joy. The Beef Bulgogi is tender and marinated to perfection, providing a perfect balance of sweet and savory. Their Beef Short Rib is another standout dish, cooked to tender perfection, making it a must-try for meat lovers. Additionally, the Japchae is a masterful blend of textures and flavors, with its glass noodles and mix of vegetables and meat.

The ambiance of the restaurant adds to the overall dining experience. It's warm and welcoming, creating a perfect setting for both casual meals and special occasions. I've always found the staff to be exceptionally kind and attentive, adding a personal touch to their service which makes the dining experience even more enjoyable.

As a frequent diner at this restaurant, I can confidently say that it's one of the best places to enjoy authentic Korean cuisine. Each dish is prepared with care, and the consistent quality keeps me coming back. I highly recommend Chickchickporkpork Grill to anyone looking for an outstanding Korean dining experience.
