We arrived at the restaurant about 8:45 pm to 8:50 pm. We assumed they were open because two gentlemen walked in right before us and about 5 minutes after we sat down about 6 young adults walked in and sat down. We waited for a bit and noticed no one came to take our order. We were served chips and salsa, that is it. After a while, I noticed all the wait staff were strategically avoiding eye contact with us and acting like we did not exist. However they did serve the two gentlemen that came in before us and the six individuals that came in after us. (At this point you can probably guess what race we were and what race the others were). I then went to the hostess who was cleaning her windows and said No one has came to assist us. She looked around and saw that everybody was strategically avoiding eye contact with her. She was very polite and apologized. she said she'll take our order because we have to get it in before 9 o'clock pm. She took our order and was very patient and nice. After a while we noticed that everybody was getting their food, even the guys that came after us. They had about 6 people and there was 3 of us. again all of the other wait staff strategically avoided us. This whole time nobody spoke to us or looked looked our way except for the hostess. Finally the hostess and other waitress came to our table and stated that they're not going to cook our food because we ordered too late. Hmm, why let us sit there for 20 mins after we ordered just to refuse to make our food. Now i am confused, the 6 persons who came in after us got there food. The hostess then she asked the manager to look at the cameras to prove that we were here and she put our food order in before 9 pm.
It is disappointing and disgusting how we...
Read moreA friend invited me to meet her and another friend out toGuadalajara's. She said it was her favorite Mexican restaurant and since I told her that Mexican food is my favorite she said I'd love it and our other friend agreed. It was pretty crowded and noticably busy so we brushed off our the fact that our waiter was being short when he took our drink orders. It went downhill from there. He was just plain rude when taking our dinner orders. He behaved as if we were annoying him when 1 question was asked. He brought the food out and placed it on the table without saying a word. He quickly disappeared too so we weren't able to ask a question about one of the meals that looked different than described. Upon his return one of my friends shared that it wasn't what she ordered. He treated her as if she were lying. He called the manager over and said she ordered it and now didn't want it. By this time the friend who invited us was mortified. She tried to smooth things over by calling the manager by name and saying she'd pay for the incorrect order and to just box it up but the manager said no, went to the kitchen and came back with what the 2nd friend ordered in our original order. If that were the end of it I would've been irritated but may have chucked it up to a bad day but our waiter dropped the bill on the table and suggested that we get our payments out. He actually stood at the table! I was outdone. We paid, left, and stood outside for a couple of minutes talking because it was more than too uncomfortable to hang out at our table by this time. The food was good but not the best I've had, and definitely not worth the experience. I'm new to Columbus and unfortunately I'm still looking for a good...
Read moreThis was my second visit and my impression of this place did not get better. The food is okay but the service needs work. My friend wanted to order the spinach dip. Our waitress did not even know spinach dip was on the menu. She had to look at the menu to see for herself. Smh.. when the "spinach dip" came out it was not what you think spinach dip should be. It was their white cheese dip with big pieces of spinach stirred in it. That's it. So when you dip the chip in it you had to pull out a whole piece of spinach or you would have just cheese dip. We tasted it and it was not good. My friend told the waitress she did not like it and not what she expected and if she would change it for something else. She said let me check. She came back and said they told her no substitutions and that if she wanted something else she would have to pay. My friend asked to speak with the manager. He came out and told her the same thing... no substitutions. Smh.. she explained that she was willing to pay she just wanted something else. She told him that the waitress did not even know they had spinach dip and he was like "yeah she should have because it's been on the menu." He finally agreed to either let her change it or take it off her ticket. If I don't like something I should not be forced to pay for it. At least give me the option to change to something else. That's how you keep customers...
