Very nice and clean little sushi shop with great service. The only issue is with the food. Not all, but some. Miso and onion soup was very good and tasty. The sushi and shrimp tempura was very sad. The shrimp tempura is not tempura but a shrimp katsu (breaded). The other items on the tempura dish was actually tempura and very good. In terms of the sushi, I ordered the nigiri type and I was very disappointed because I was really looking forward to at least “okay” sushi. The rice needed to be seasoned a whole lot more and the the fish looked like it was either pre-cut or re-frozen more than once. I don’t expect the best quality fish here in Columbus but the rice is at least something that can be done. My daughters katsu was fried, sliced, then re-fried which made it very dry. Also, they don’t serve katsu sauce with the katsu. The rice that was served with their bento was Jasmin rice, not sure why. I like jasmin rice but not with Japanese food. It should short or medium short. It’s been a while since I’ve eaten here and I remember it being very good. Not sure what happened but it’s okay. If you don’t care much for authentic Japanese food, I’m sure you’ll enjoy. Overall, not horrible. But not...
Read moreI've ordered from here over a dozen times within the last couple of years. The fried rice was the best I'd had in a long time; steak well cooked, shrimp were a decent size, and the rice tasted great. I think that allowed me to overlook some fallacies. The atmosphere of the restaurant is mediocre, but I usually order online. The chicken is usually dry (ordered in fried rice). Once, I only got 3 shrimp in the chicken, shrimp, steak fried rice. And this last order is the reason I'll be looking for another restaurant for rice and sushi. I ordered onion soup and soda. Both were listed ad 16 oz each. The items i received were 12 oz; the soda was canned. $4.12 for a 12 oz can. The soup was in a 16 oz container, but not full. Yes, I poured it into a measuring glass to check. 12 oz exactly, not to mention it didn't taste as good as it usually does. Maybe they leave the room to reduce spillage during delivery, but don't advertise a larger quantity than what you're providing. Seemed fraudulent...
Read moreBad. Spicy tuna, volcano roll, tempura rolls ordered for four people. No one could eat their sushi. It smelled bad, like bad fish and tasted bad. It tasted like it had been frozen-thawed, frozen-thawed then served. You could feel your mouth telling you - it’s bad don’t eat it.
We explained the poor quality situation to management 3 times and they tried to blame us for the poor quality. They said that we didn’t pick the food up fast enough. We picked it up under 45 minutes. We’ve purchased refrigerated sushi from a grocery store, stored in our fridge, then eaten later that has tasted way better than this.
The tempura roll was almost acceptable (probably bc it had been fried), but couldn’t be finished.
They offered no credit whatsoever. Most restaurants take responsibility when things aren’t right and offer credit to their customers. Not here.
Stay away. Any sushi place or grocery store would be better...
