La Tacita — Restaurant in Columbus

I came in on a friday excited to grab a good bite and try out a new coffee i walked in and literally stood there for 20 mins and no one ever came to great or help me place my order. I left empty handed. I didnt want to give up so i came back a different day around evening time in hopes of better service and walked in. No wait but only a heavy set lady walking back and forth but never took the time to greet me or take my order. In the whole what felt like 15 mins standing there waiting i witnessed a little toddler boy who was previously picking his nose walk right in behind the counter and started grabbing all the items as if he worked there! His curly fro all out and simply just grabbing it all! So unsanitary! What killed it for me was when i saw a young lady come from next door restaurant walk right in and started mixing drinks!! Didnt even wash her hands! This whole time not once did i get asked if i was already being serviced! After seeing how easy random people have access to behind the counter at this place it definitely made me walk out and mever want to come back! The people handling the baked goods and drinks up front should be wearing gloves and washing hands and random kids and people from other places were not sanitary at all! Definitely been reported! Went last week to try them got a tres leche and vanilla iced latte. Which tasted good. The three stars are for the bakery items that we got. I got the chocolate tres lech cake which tasted like box cake that had chocolate milk poured over it to soak it. Definetly did not taste like a tres leche cake is suppose to taste like. The other pastry we got was a blueberry muffin. Which was disgusting. Blueberries barely in it. Tasted stale and left a greasy mouth feel. I could have went to publix for a better muffin. The place was empty when we we on a sunday morning, so im wondering if they get much business and that is why they have stale pastries. Must go!! This place is so adorable. Everything was very clean and the service was top notch. The food was excellent, freshly made with decent portions. We had the chicken and waffle and, let me tell you, that chicken was so crunchy! The chicken comes with a hot sauce (could be asked for on the side) that gave it a nice twist.
