Dear Jesse, the owner, I am disgusted at my experience at this store, Orange Park, a few days ago. I spent over 104 dollars on shrimp and fish, and the guy assistant was extremely rude and condescending. He acted like he did not want to be there, and working there was a problem, let alone dealing with customers. This is not the first time I am buying fish at your location. I have been there many times. I have also visited your location on San Jose Blvd, which was always excellent. This individual is a detriment to your organization, and I hope you address this as I was 1/2 a second away from walking out to a store and leaving you with several fish cut up and four pounds of shrimp in a bag. I don't believe I've ever had an experience like this before from anyone in my 46 years. If your employee doesn't want to serve customers at a fish market, why is he there? the last thing anybody needs today is your attitude. What would happen if someone went into your store and recorded the interaction between your customer and this employee, THEN posted it on social media? It would destroy your business in today's world or demand you address the issue. We don't need this, especially when spending decent money on seafood. Your employee's rude condescension had the personality of a predator and a weasel at the time, and he certainly did not want me there, so why do you have him around? Have you ever heard of the phrase don't make me look? well, I have found several other places where I will take my money in the future until you fix this situation because if I walk into a store and he is working there, I'm walking out. It's not like you're the only fish market around, so Jesse, the owner, deals with this, and I'm curious if you will respond to my review. You probably know who your employee is but just to be clear, check you transactions or CCTV for the event on 12/21/24 between...
Read moreThis was my first disappointing customer service experience with Fisherman’s Dock Orange Park. With two workers and only two customers (me being the other one) and the store to close at 6:00 pm, at 5:28 pm I requested 6 blue crabs to be cleaned. The female refused to clean the crab stating it will take 30 minutes to clean and I can come back tomorrow if I want it cleaned (what am inconvenience to a custom mer). This was not my first rodeo ordering 6 cleaned blue crabs from here and it's never taken me 30 minutes to get them. By the time I cashed out with my crab uncleaned plus another fish order the time stamp on my receipt was 5:35 pm. Since the store was not near closing and having 30 minutes before time to lock the doors this worker should have provided proper customer service to provide what I asked. I hope management take customer service seriously and get their staff to work to give customers what they need and want until it's time to lock the front door. I cannot stand when workers clock out mentally before...
Read moreUnsanitary employee I came in today to get fish for dinner. After finding my selection, I stood there waiting for 1 of the 4 people working in there to help me. It was not busy, there was only 1 other customer in there. Finally the guy using the water hose cleaning the floors came up and asked if I was ready. He proceeded to open the freezer to get the fish I was wanting with the SAME gloves he was using to clean with!!!! I asked him if he was planning on getting my fish out with those same gloves. He says "it's fine, I always spray them off" Are you kidding me?! I told him, "no you will not touch my food, that is not sanitary!" He got huffy puffy, ripped his gloves off and put one glove on to pull the fish out and walks into the other room with a knife in the other hand to cut the fish. No way will I go back. I can't imagine what else may go on if he thought spraying off dirty gloves that he had on to clean...
